I went to Chiang Mai for the first time & was eager to stay in this place ( no. 1 on tripadvisor for Chiang Mai for the last 4 years or so- How can a small timer defeat the biggies like meridian etc. in the rating on a continuous basis) By staying there I realised why it is so. My... More

Dear Atul , Thanks for a wonderful review , we really appreciate it !! Unfortunately , at the moment the future for our Secret Garden doesn't look so good . At least we have the advantage of not having to pay rent for our place , the problem is the money for our staff of 15 , plus taxes ,... More

This is a great place to explore Chang Mai and the surrounding areas from and also to relax in. The hospitality is warm and friendly. The food prepared by Pai is out of this world and very good value. We traveled with our kids who loved hanging out in the pool, exploring on bikes and playing with the pets but... More

We stayed just one night at the hotel but wished we could have stayed longer! The whole experience was perfect - a great way to celebrate a birthday! We booked very late via the internet (which was such a smooth and easy process). Room is spacious and the staff is very very friendly. They pointed out some very interesting places... More

Hi Uhie , We're happy you liked it , even though you just stayed one night ! And thanks for taking the time to write a review on tripadvisor . I definitely don't believe in miracles , but maybe one day they will put us back on Chiang Mai , where we actually belong to , and future guests can... More

This accommodation, located about 1/2hr out of the Old City is more of a retreat rather than a resort. It is located on a nature based property run by a family of 3 and their staff. You will get laid back, friendly hospitality with satisfying breakfasts and amazing Thai banquets for dinner. Pai changes the meals every night so you... More

The secret garden is an ideal place to explore Chiang mai and its surroundings: Just over 20 minutes outside the busy town centre. Very enjoyable and hospitable staff that makes you feel at home. They took very good care of us. Providing us with local phones and clear maps. Every day we enjoyed their delicious menu. Our accomodation was basic,... More

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights. What a beautiful place to have spent our honeymoon at. The shuttle service to and from the airport is perfect! Scooter rentals, the food, the birds, pool area, laundry service, cooking lessons. Peter and his family are so amazing and full of knowledge about places to go and see in Chiang... More

As seasoned travellers to south east asia for the past 20 years, we hardly got completely amazed with accommodation/service, but The Secret Garden was one of those absolutely wonderful surprises we shall never forget. We were in Thailand for 2 weeks this time and decided to do a quick 2-night stop in Chiang Mai with our two children before heading... More

This is overdue but like to put the feedbacks from our family stay in Secret Gardens last Sep. Secret Garden gives very nice rural + warming family feeling during our 5 days stay our entire family. Dear Kiat , Thanks a lot for remembering us and writing a really beautiful review !!! We stayed at The Secret Garden for six nights the end of April. What a wonderful place! The property is truly an oasis of serenity and beauty. The secret garden was an excellent choice for Chiangmai. I little secret hide away, operated by a wonderfully nice older gentleman and his Thai wife. The secret garden was exactly what we were looking for, quiet, reasonably priced and dinner is home made every night.

Hi there, First of all thank you for you review, we appreciate every single one we get. Our place really is a 'secret" in terms of location.
