we arrived later on at night and were shown to our room , which was a purpose built building three steps away from the Inn. The room was beautifully decorated with a large king size bed, and a fabulous en suite. There was tv good selection of coffees and tea bags and lovely thick towels. The staff were all really... More

I had reason to stay here for a night in December 2012. I had one of the new or refurbished rooms in the annex. The cleaners need to check the drawers after each guest ! The room was spacious. The bed was large. The bathroom was a good size and the shower was lovely. The hotel has free wifi. The... More

We eat at this pub allong with others. My wife,a vegetarian, ordered her food which was served to another diner. When the mistake was found the waitress scraped the vegetables off the plate and served it to my wife. Disgusting, we will never eat there again and will advise others the same.

My ratings say it all. I stopped for 7 weeks whilst working in Whitchurch and couldn't have been happier. Only 4 stars for location as it is 8 miles from Whitchurch or 3 miles from Market Drayton. But there's a great local taxi if you need it - thanks Chris. Having said that, there's nothing to beat The Castle in... More

Have stayed in the area a few times but for some reason never considered the Castle inn before. No matter as it would appear that my timing was spot on. The room I had was all fresh, from the decor to carpets and a very nice, new en-suite shower room, no complaints. A new modern television too. The food was... More

if you are on the lookout for accommodation. The purpose built block is not immediately apparent yet offers very good sized bedrr oom an d bed with spacoius en suite. The convenience and effificiency of a good motel with the homeliness of a pub - good breakfast too.

We were pleasantly surprised. The room was large and comfortable. We did have an upstairs room at first but decided to switch to a lower room. I must admit this felt a lot quieter with the traffic and would probably ask for a ground floor room again. Everything in the room was clean couldn't fault it. The shower was fab... More

This was a two night pre booked stay for a local wedding. The accommodation was very good clean and spacious. The bathroom lacked any toiletries except some liquid soap for the wash basin and we had to dash out on the morning of the wedding to buy shower gel and shampoo. Lovely countryside view to the rear. Wifi just about... More

Stayed one night to attend a wedding nearby. The main pub building is a little tired but the accommodation block is excellent. The room was a decent size, modern and spotlessly clean. There were also lovely views over the countryside. Staff are helpful and friendly. Full English breakfast was included with the room and was good for the price. We... More
