If you are on the way to the Serravalle Outlet, Volpedo is a nice village to spend one or two nights. We have recently stayed at the Locanda Canevari and this is definitely a place not to miss. The young guy, Michele, the Manager of the Locanda, friendly and outstanding, welcomed us in his “house” like if we were his... More

Locanda Canevari is a nicely restored palace in Volpedo: you will see "fresco" (painted walls) in the hall and in the breakfast room and nicely restored furniture. On the other hand, in our room, we had a fridge, a TV and a brand new bathroom. A very good trade off if you want an noble atmosphere but with all comforts!... More

Visited this hotel in the off-season, end Sept.. It was both very good and very bad. (They are known also for their restaurant, but it was not open.) The hotel is very nicely restored, a classical town villa, ornate decoration and classical furniture. Good breakfast in a formal room. It is on a small town street, no front set-back but... More

In 2011 we stayed in Locanda Canevari for the first time - we were so taken by the delicious meal and the charming hotel that we decided to revisit it again.Luckily we can still recommend it: The food is excellent and a bargain to the price (25 Euros for a 3 dish meal) and the hotel is so charming with... If you are expecting a standard hotel with a reception open 24 hours-a-day, this is not it. It's a family run guest-house, which on the one hand is very beautiful and historic, but on the other can prove a little difficult to get into, if you haven't pre-arranged your arrival time! That is no criticism - it is just the... More

As two couples, my husband and I and his sister and her husband stayed here for 2 nights and had a marvelous time. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the rooms spotlessly clean and the breakfast in the morning very generous and tasty. There is an advantage also in that the restaurant located in the hotel is of the... More

We stayed in this charming hotel for 2 nights and we were pleasantly surprised. The interior of the hotel is very appealing and so are the rooms. (Though they were very hot when we arrived but putting on the aircondition soon fixed this. The noise from the aircondition is my only complain but it didn't disturb neither my husband nor... More
