Located in world renowned Gros Morne National Park, high above the road to the town of Woody Point, looking down at the beautiful waters of Bonne Bay and surrounding rocky mountain cliffs. There are 10 clean, well laid out motel units, all non-smoking and at ground level. There is a restaurant attached, serving fresh seafood in season. The restaurant wasn't... More

This was the only place with rooms available in Woody Point, and it turned out to be good. Very well priced, loved the vintage feel (yes, everything is from the 1960s, including the TV with one channel, but it adds to the travel experience). GREAT views from our room The place was spotless. Recommended.

If you are an accomodations snob who doesn't like to leave the hotel: Don't stay here. It isn't modern (wood paneling, dated carpet, TV with one channel-on a dial!) and there aren't any amenities other than the restaurant which closes by 8pm. However, it is clean and the owners are wonderful and friendly people. There is a common fridge to... More

I was impressed with the good reviews and could not agree with them more! The room was clean with everything you need when on a road trip. The food and service were top notch. The view from the room and beauty of this entire region makes this the best place I stayed in NL. There is a short trail from... More

I am glad I was alone, I always wonder how one nightstand/nightlight is supposed to be enough for a double. TV gave me one good channel and one bad. Tiny bathroom with a loud heater (who did it's job quickly). In the future I will make sure I can pay more for accommodation, to get a nicer surrounding befitting the... More

Most places were closed the first of May but Nancy and Scott were there with a room and food and the best view. Reasonable prices for both, room was basic and clean, fish and chips were excellent. Short walk into village and over to old lighthouse. Not sure why more people don't travel to Nflnd at this time of year,... More

We stayed at the Woody Point Motel for a week while we enjoyed the trails in Gros Morne National Park and the beauty of Bonne Bay. The room was clean and comfortable, the hospitality of Nancy and Scott amazing and the price was very affordable. A short drive to many of the trails and a short walk into town or... More

This place needs serious rennovation. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the view is great. But room had a TV from the 1960s (Admiral, I believe) - barely got any picture reception. Walls and carpeting were extremely old also. Relatively clean - or as clean as it could be kept. But not ideal for family or group travel.

The Woody Point Motel is good value if you are looking for a cheaper place to stay in this area. The rooms are very clean and the bathrooms have been recently spruced up. It is very quiet. There is a restaurant on site but we didn't try it as we went to the Granite Coffee shop to do laundry in... More
