Stayed for two weeks in Beech - fabulous views and lovely and quiet. Lodge ideal with lovely comfy bed. Some of the lodge looked tired - needs a new shower curtain and there are some cobwebs that need a vaccum but this is nit picking in what is a rural site - this is a fantastic place to stay. Thoroughly... More

Three generations of our family spent a week at Lagnakeil in a Conifer lodge. The site is just beautiful, so well maintained and with stunning views. It felt remote but was only 10 minutes drive into Oban. The outside decking was a lovely addition to the lodge. The lodge itself is compact. There was everything we needed but it was... More

My husband and I and our two adult-sized children spent 3 nights in a 3 bedroom Conifer Lodge. It was very well equipped and the living area was sufficiently spacious. Bedrooms are small, and I think a party of 6 may find it a bit of a squeeze. For us though it was fine. The weather was cold and wet,... More

The views are excellent and it really is a lovely remote setting. We wanted to love the place more than we did. Little things like shredding old dish towels and a lack of washing up liquid (though there were a few dishwasher tabs), or soap/shampoo, as well as the need to write down how much electricity you used and pay... Just back from a week in the Lagnakeil chalets. Great location, with a genuinely remote feel, yet only 10 mins drive from shops, ferries etc of Oban. Set in a narrow valley with views to the loch south of Lerags, it's is a beautiful place. The chalet was clean, with a really well equipped kitchen. Paying for electricity on top... More

Just home after spending two nights in an ash lodge and we had a lovely time. The owners are friendly and relaxed, scenery is stunning and you really do feel like you are leaving for your stressful life behind. We have stayed in other lodges and drove down to bluestone in Wales two years ago, and certainly there will be... More

We had a wonderful week in Penlarach cottage. Beautiful views and a lot of space in and around the house. The garden is well maintained. Good combination of staying in the middle of nature and Oban just a 10-minute drive away Quality of the beds: very good Kitchen: well-equipped There is a lot of peat in the water. You can... More

After quite literally being blown off the Isle of Skye we retreated south to Oban and managed to book a very last minute deal here for 2 nights. Colin was very helpful and accommodating when booking and on arrival. A wonderfully maintained site in a lovely location - the layout of the lodges on differing levels gives a degree of... More

We rented for 5 nights in May and the weather was kind to us. The location is stunning, views of the loch and the sound of Cuckoos! The loch not directly accessible but walks through the glen afford lots of views. The local Barn pub had live folk music on the Sunday night that we arrived - a full sized... More

We have just returned from an excellent week at Lagnakeil. The lodges are comfortable, cosy and well maintained - and nothing is too much trouble. Each has a full kitchen and dishwasher and Sky TV (great for rainy days,) The view across the loch from ours was breathtaking - and our six-year-old loved having the freedom to play on the... More
