We stayed at Lagnakell Highland Lodges toward the end of a three week trip to Ireland and Scotland. After staying in hotels, it was a welcome change. We all agreed it was the best night's sleep of the entire trip. Lovely quiet and very comfortable beds. It was close enough to Oban to be convenient, but far enough away to... More

The location is stunning with wonderful views. The local pub serves good food and beer. The lodges are good and the site is quiet. Oban is close by but not on the door step. The management are great as they left us to our own devices but were there if we needed them. We would be happy to return.

The two of us spent a week in one of the Poplar lodges, chosen because it was accessible for me, as a person with mobility problems. It suited us well - no steps, a walk-in shower, and plenty of space inside the lodge for all our stuff. We enjoyed the peaceful location, especially the absolute silence at night, but enjoyed... Enjoyed it so much last year, that we returned for our summer break this year! And we've got every intention of heading back again! Colin arranged for us to have the same lodge as last time. We've found him to be very accommodating, approachable, and an excellent host. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of... More

We are just back from a week in one of the Conifer lodges. The setting was perfect with lovely walks nearby and so handy for Oban, as well as being peaceful, but the lodge itself was very disappointing. I usually look at bad reviews on Tripadvisor and don't believe the reviewer has been fair, or think they have unrealistic expectations,... More

My two daughters and I spent an action packed week at Lagnakeil, kayaking, walking, mountaineering, coasteering and gorge walking (all with Stramash Outdoor Activities), as well as horse riding and ferry to Mull. And we had perfect weather. Our lodge at Lagnakeil was very comfortable and well equipped – everything worked well (except for the wifi which was intermittent). I... More

As has been said by other reviewers. Superb location. Comfortable accommodation. Ideal for unwinding and getting back to what life should be. Partner and I visited for a long weekend. We had a great time and did our own thing. The accommodation offers that choice and we loved the flexibility. Yes maybe a little end of season review of what... More

Stayed for two weeks in Beech - fabulous views and lovely and quiet. Lodge ideal with lovely comfy bed. Some of the lodge looked tired - needs a new shower curtain and there are some cobwebs that need a vaccum but this is nit picking in what is a rural site - this is a fantastic place to stay. Thoroughly... More

Three generations of our family spent a week at Lagnakeil in a Conifer lodge. The site is just beautiful, so well maintained and with stunning views. It felt remote but was only 10 minutes drive into Oban. The outside decking was a lovely addition to the lodge. The lodge itself is compact. There was everything we needed but it was... More

My husband and I and our two adult-sized children spent 3 nights in a 3 bedroom Conifer Lodge. It was very well equipped and the living area was sufficiently spacious. Bedrooms are small, and I think a party of 6 may find it a bit of a squeeze. For us though it was fine. The weather was cold and wet,... More
