I stayed at this accommodation back in early August last year, and only just had time to write a review now. I loved the romantic, country feel of this place, and the pleasant, clean, 2-level rooms. We had to cab it out to the city - I think it was roughly 20mins away - but I didn't mind this at... More

I forgot to post a review after staying here one night in March last year; I do it now because the place deserves to be known. It's fantastic. A real, impressive castle, with a high-class restaurant. We stayed in a standard room in the annex (slightly less expensive than those in the manor itself), had a fabulous dinner, used the... More

When I first saw a review for the Domaine, my first thought was: "beautiful", but probably not in my travel budget. Once I investigated further I was pleased to find that it did indeed fall into my budget and booked it right then. I was not disappointed once I arrived. There is parking and facilities such as laundry for travellers... More

After two hours of driving I expected a 10-minute check-in. Instead I was led to my room immediately. What a surprise after an exhausting journey! Our room (#37) is located in a cottage on the other side of the chateau. The room is clean and tidy. It is spacious and there is a balcony with nice garden view. The service... More

Ever dreamed of staying in a fairytale castle? This is it. Décor in keeping with the historic nature of the property. Landscaped grounds allowed for quiet walks and places to sit and enjoy the views. Comfortable rooms (be warned, no lift - lots of stairs, but helpful porter). Staff very helpful and informative. Plenty of parking. Loved the pink cyclamen... More

I decided to splurge and spend two nights at this hotel, and was delighted to find when I went to check in that the hotel management upgraded me to a suite. What a treat! The rooms are updated with the latest bath fixtures, while the decor keeps with the 19th Century character of the chateau. The bedroom, with a roomy... More

A bit late in the season, but we had a wonderful time. We had two rooms on the 2nd floor (10 and 15) for two nights. Great experience., wish we could have stayed longer. Didn't have specific plans on where to go, the front desk staff were very helpful with what Chateau's were open. It has no elevator, so you... More

Tucked back down a small country road, this place was old world charming. Rooms were surprisingly modern and well appointed. The grounds are beautiful and outside dinning spectacular. breakfast was robust and just what we needed to get started on another day of exploring. 8yr old child loved the outdoor ping pong table and the giant swing out on the... We recently spent four enjoyable days and nights in the 3rd floor tower room in the main Chateau. I won't repeat the accolades posted by contemporaneous reviews but they are accurate. The front desk staff was very helpful, the suite immaculate, and our 1 dinner and 3 full breakfasts were delicious. It was a bit late in the season for... More

We stayed here while on a Butterfield & Robinson Bike Trip thru Loire Valley. I must say, this chateau is OUTSTANDING! We had a huge room, a short walk from the main chateau. Our bed was very comfortable and we loved the huge bathroom. The entrance to Domaine de La Tortiniere is like riding into a fairy tale through the... More
