My biggest regret is that we did not stay longer at the Chateau de Damigny. The hosts were gracious and the meals divine! We did the Table d'Hotes and it was definitely worth the experience. I am already planning our trip back with our children in tow. This was a great place to explore the Beaches at Normandy.

Spent three great nights here while touring Normandy and the American beaches of the Normandy invasion. Convenient to Bayeux, highway and all of Normandy. Place was very good in all respects - clean, neat, good quality, etc. Breakfast was spectacular with all manner of breads, cereals, fruit and jams. Omelets and breakfast meat were cooked to order. We also had... More

Vincent and his wife Corrine make excellent hosts. The property is a charming 18th century chateaux upgraded with all of the modern conveniences. The location is quiet, and within about 5 minutes drive of Bayeux, which makes it a very good location to visit the many attractions of Normandy. Vincent provides a breakfast that would outdo that provided by most... More

My husband and I recently returned from a wonderful anniversary trip to London, Normandy, and Paris. I can truly say that our stay at Chateau de Damigny was the highlight of our trip. Upon driving onto the grounds, you immediately relax. We stayed in the Herve suite and highly recommend it. We spent a lot of time relaxing in the... More

At the outset i and my wife were not very keen to book chateau damigny as its outside bayeaux and we were not travelling by a rental car. However we had an absolutely comfortable and logistically convenient stay thanks to the special efforts of our host Mr. Vincent. He picked us from the train station when we arrived. Mrs. Vincent... We rented 2 rooms for our family of 4 with two teenagers. The rooms are so nice and clean -- and large! -- with great beds and bedding (I tend to be picky about linens). Even toiletries, bathrobe, hairdryer, water and tea/coffee are provided in the room. Hosts Vincent and Corinne are very nice, and Vincent makes great breakfasts (best... More

Vincent and Corrine are helpful hosts. The chateau is well located - close to Bayeaux and near the Normandy beaches and Caen. The rooms are comfortable, modern, quiet and clean. Breakfast is very generous - pastries, cheeses, yogurts, fresh fruit, crepes and Vincent will make you an omelet. If you chose to dine with vincent and Corrine you will be... More

We stayed only two nights here but we wished we could have stayed longer. Vincent really spoils his guests with an incredible breakfast - the best crepes I have ever had, no kidding. The rooms are cute, the beds are comfortable, and the people are very friendly and welcoming. We felt at home the first evening. We were lucky enough... More

This chateau has an excellent location for anyone with a car and wishing to visit Bayeux, only 3 km from town centre. The castle rooms look splendid, with an Old World feel to the furniture. Vincent the owner was very friendly, prepared a great breakfast to order, and gave us an excellent recommendation for a charming not-too-expensive restaurant in Bayeux... More
