Great destination to get away from it all. It's a bit of a drive for most people, but definitely worth it. The hotel offers a great range of different room types. We frequently stay in the rooms at the Cavalry Post, across from the main hotel and boardwalk. Corner rooms with a fireplace are great for fall evenings. There are... More

We stayed on our way through Big Bend. It's a great destination resort with many family activities. The room was nice, though I'd bring my own pillows. We stayed in the main building in room 209 and enjoyed the balcony and nice reading chairs. The views from the resort were great. The restaurant was excellent. The staff was great in... More

We arrived here quite late after a long drive with very high expectations (also given the price) - I had even promised my husband the best and most fancy hotel from our US roadtrip. Location was perfect for us: after the drive coming from Presidio, on our way to Big Bend it was really ideal. We immediately went for dinner... More

This resort is in the middle of big sky and beautiful countryside, just south of no-where. We stayed in the Calvary barracks, and our room was very, very dark. Some due to the lack of an additional lamp or two that some of the other rooms appeared to have. The 'most disliked' feature is the sink located in the room,... More

We stayed here over the Thanksgiving holiday in an individual suite as a special treat to celebrate our engagement. The accomodations were absolutely beautiful when you walked in the door. But the bed was way too soft and the pillows were, well, just strange. In any event, it's a fun village, but the real bonus is the scenery all around.... More

We booked a room at the Lajitas Golf Resort & Spa because there was nothing available in Big Bend NP. That turned out to be really lucky for us because the resort turned out to be a benefit, Everyone working there was gracious and accommodating. The restaurant was excellent and the atmosphere serene, We took advantage of their equestrian facilities... More

I want to like this place. I really do, but I don't. The location is amazing and it should be an awesome place to stay, but it just felt weird. Its sort of a failed golf course community with lots of unfinished lots and things around. They said the hotel was full, but it felt eerily empty. There is absolutely... More

Lajitas Golf Resort & Spa is an oasis in the Chihuahuan Desert. We planned a 1400 mile road trip and the resort was one of the highlights. Our trip out west was to visit and explore Big Bend National Park. While we did not play golf, we did book a massage with the spa, and after days in the car,... More

Some work colleagues and I decided to get away from the office and head to Lajitas for a work retreat. One of my co-workers was familiar with the resort and the location. We flew in to Lajitas private airport and we were immediately greeted by a resort van. A very nice gentlemen took us to the resort to check in... More

Compared to local lodging: best accommodations offered in the area, great golf course, pro shop staff very helpful, airport, nice mountain views, refrigerator in room, housekeeper was very friendly and gave us great advice on places to visit, restaurant area is inviting with a fire pit and water fountain, pretty water features outside our room, very safe, quiet, and peaceful....
