Silent sleep, delicious meal, generous hospitality and gentle price: what does any human being wants more!? On top of this: the landscape, with the Mont Saint Michel, is tremendous and the cliffs (Cancale e.g.) in the neighbourhood are wonderful.

I find the price of the hotel was too expensive for the location and facilities. Internet was hardly working in room and works only in the lobby. Room was extremely small providing basic facilities offering no special outside view.

Looking for somewhere to stay that was close, but not too close to Mont Saint Michel, we found this little place that boasted great rooms and facilities and an excellent restaurant. Run by the chef and his wife, we enjoyed great hospitality and food, as well as a short drive to Mont Saint-Michel.

The restaurant is something of a throwback to the wonderful Mom and Pop places that were a lot more common in France in the 70s, when I first went there. It's also a perfect example of the Michelin "Red Bib" restaurant, good value for excellent cooking. If you're there between April and September, don't fail to try the lamb pre... More

This French cuisine restaurant were we went for dinner. It is run by a professional couple who understand their trade very well. Lovely surrounding and cozily decorated. Small but beautiful, an advanced restaurant reservation is required to avoid disappointment.

This is one of those establishments that you wish you had near to home! The restaurant is beautifully decorated, very small, but with a lovely atmosphere. The set menus are very reasonably priced. The food itself is delicious, it would appear that local suppliers play a huge part in the menu construction. Presentation is second to none. Very interesting wine... More

There are a lot of restaurants in France. A lot of very good restaurants. So when Auberge du Terroir was recommended to us by Regis de Roquefeuil of Chateau Bouceel, we assumed it was another very good French restaurant. We were wrong. It is an extraordinary French restaurant. We had dinner there. It was delicious. We went back a second... More

This hotel was a pleasant surprise for us.We went for a trip to see Normandy for a week and it was the best hotel on our way. It's near Mont S Michelle but not exactly. The hotels just near MSM that we saw were very standard and expensive. This one is just in the countryside, full of flowers and it's incredibly romantic.Every little thing... My wife & I thought we were on our honeymoon again. What a lovely place just a few miles from Le Mont SM & Avranches. A cancellation meant we were offered a discounted upgrade to the Blue room- a suite really & so comfortable - his & hers sinks in the bathroom & a shower with water coming at you... More

Comte Regis de Roquefeuil recommended this fabulous small restaurant (six tables) near Le Mont Saint Michel. We were absolutely enchanted with the chef Thierry and his lovely hostess wife Annie La Fort. We ate there twice and both times had the Lamb that is famous from the area for being raised on the salt marsh grasses. The first time we... More
