Have just spent a week here with Great Rail Journeys. Spotlessly clean throughout with fresh flowers and personal touches everywhere. Rooms have balconies, mini bar and safe and staff were superb. Waiters were efficient and very friendly and their uniforms were immaculate - very impressed. Food was simple but delicious and home made, and the cakes were fabulous. Made to... More

what a example to other hotels. Rooms were very modern and what a change to get a free safe. Yes a steep road to the lake but if you take your time you will make it. I have walking difficulties and I did it by stopping halfway for a glass of wine very nice . Just felt that nothing was... More

I really can recommend this Hotel! The Location is nice, its quite, many places to reach by taking a Walk and the Service is Top! Only the Lightning in the room for Breakfast was a hurt for my eyes 😄 Garage will be charged with 10€, WLAN for free for an unlimited Number of devices.

We stayed at this hotel for five nights covering New Year as part of a Great Rail Journeys holiday. Our room was well appointed and immaculately clean. One of the first things that we were told by our tour manager was that the tap water should not be drunk, but that bottled water was available cheaply from local shops, which... More

It's always nice to receive good reviews, and know that there are people who appreciate and gratify persons who still makes this job with passion. Thanks for the compliments and thanks for spending the arrival of the new year with us. We hope to see you soon as our guests, maybe in the summer to enjoy the beauty of our... More

As part of a package holiday by rail, we spent 5 nights at the Hotel Desenzano. The room was o.k. and comfortable. Wardrobe space was good and the hotel was quiet. The bathroom (no bath) was well apppointed, except when opening the shower door, wate dripped on the floor, and it could be a trip hazard, so be careful. The... More

We spent a week here on a Great Railway Journeys holiday in October 2014. This is the first hotel where I have ever been refused tap water at the meal table. Their 'excuse' was that it was not of good quality, although it was perfectly fit to drink from the taps in the room, indeed it has to be under... More

Dear Guests, we were surprised to receive your review after three months of your stay. Probably we left a vivid sign on you..... We explained also at the tour manager during the stay that the bottled water is a standard for a 4 star hotel and can not 'give up, perhaps in hotels of low category is served tap water,... More

We went to this wonderful family run hotel at Desenzano Del Garda with Great Rail Journeys in 2010. We felt this was one of the best hotels we have stayed at in Europe. With the location near to the centre at the bottom of the hill by the water front. The railway station close by at the top of the... More

This is a nice modern hotel closed to the train station but very quiet with a perfect location on top oh the hill. It is just 8 minutes walking distance to the centre with narrow streets, coloured shops and little restaurants most of them with inner courtyard. I like Desenzano Hotel, it is clean, comfortable and warm. Rooms are spacious with... More

We found this hotel (Great Rail Journeys holiday) to be superbly located, 10 mins from lake and town, 2 mins from train station. Staff were attentive and helpful, rooms clean and modern, we found the food quite acceptable. I would recommend this hotel.

If you looking for nice food, a well loated hotel to get out and about stay here. 2 mins from the train station, 10 mins if that from the lake front and very easy to get a taxi out if you fancy a day trip to Garda, Bardolina or Sirmione. Staff are brilliant and we will recommend this hotel.
