Although we only stayed overnight at Chateau de Bonnemare, it was a wonderful experience in itself. The owners were so hospitable. The breakfast was really nice with homemade jams and local cheese and breads. There was free wifi and although not fast (since chateau is relatively in a remote location), it was enough to get emails out and look up... More

Un endroit de rêve :) The owner came to pick up us to the train station and he and his wife were all the time taking care of what we may need. Even if it's and old place it's very clean and warm. We had a great weekend, thank you very much!

My wife and I stayed a night in the suite as part of our honeymoon through France and it was certainly pretty special. The suite itself is straight out of a movie set and you can't help but feel a little honoured to be there. The hosts were lovely and helpful and the breakfast the best we had in 2... More

We stayed for 5 nights in a delightful period ground floor room with a 'state of the art' bathroom. The owners, Sylvie an Alain could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The breakfasts were a delight and the Restaurant recommendations excellent.Alain provided a guided tour of the Chateau and grounds which was fascinating.Overall a magical experience.

You will not do better than this chateau for a bed and breakfast experience. There are only 4 or 5 rooms and the chateau has 22 hectares of private land to walk around with woodland and deers, all to yourself. Or sit out on the lawn in an easy chair and watch the stunning sunset with no-one else around. The... More

If you are looking to sample a piece of peace as well as life in a chateau, then this is a must. What a delight. The history, the comfort of the rooms, the pleasure at wandering the grounds are all highly recommended and the breakfast a real feast. The chateau is away from the main road but there are small... We were attending a party nearby and Chateau de Bonnemare was a handy choice. But it was so much more!. The furnishings, the grounds, the breakfast and the gracious but not intrusive owners. As Americans, our history goes back 200 years. The heritage at Bonnemare goes back to the 15th Century (if I am not mistaken). At any rate, it... More

This chateau is located down a winding road, with a small town nearby, and is not far from Rouen. The rooms are beautiful, and decorated with antique furniture. The bathroom was newly redone, with an additional wash basin in the room, which is nice if someone is in the bathroom. The breakfast was fabulous! Fresh croissant and breads, homemade jams,... More

We landed from an oversea flight like most of us, early in the morning and definitively on edge and tired. No problems with anything...flight was ok, baggage claims and custom ok as well, car rental was ok...just tired. All that changed when we got to Boonemare; what a serene and pleasant surprise only an hour and half from Charles de... More

This is a place of peace, tranquility and beauty. The host/owners, are most generous with their time and make every effort to understand your likes and dislikes and assist you in having a good experience at their beautiful, historical chateau and the region. We were always given a generous breakfast with many delicious items made by Madame Sylvie in addition... More
