With just 10 min walking distance from the inner Volterra, this hotel is just great. Wonderfull view of the Toscan mountains and hills, a nice garden with a clean pool and clean rooms. The rooms and swrvoxe in general is quite Italian; practical, nice, but not luxorous. Only one guy understands and speaks a little English, but hey, a smile... More

We were delighted with this choice of hotel and feel it is a very good 3 star hotel. Our room with veranda over looking the good sized pool (and terrace area) and with stunning views of Tuscany was well appointed and spacious enough for our 4 night stay. Definitely worth paying for the deluxe room. The location made for easy... More

We were there for only one night and and a short stay, so didn't get to sample the dinner, or the pool albeit I saw it and it looked lovely! Parts of the hotel are a bit dated and the room we had for three was at its limit, but the price was appropriate. The views from the right rooms... More

This hotel is what it says on the packet - 3 star and basic but clean. The views were lovely (balcony overlooking pool and the valley below) and breakfast was good compared to other places we stayed. A walk out of town and a steep one at that but it didnt bother us particularly. Not bad overall.

Stayed in this hotel for 1 night passing through to the coast. The hotel is just at the bottom of a steep road 5 minutes from the city walls and s easy to find. The room had no aircon and is dated, with poor bathroom amenities, but had a nice view over the pool and countryside. Breakfast is the normal... More

Not sure about this one. Could have been good but....unhelpful, disinterested service from the front desk, had to pay for wifi which had poor coverage anyway, very unattractive view from our room. This could be a much better review if these factors were addressed. It's also quite a steep walk up a hill into town, no problem for us but... More

We stayed here two nights. The location of the hotel was great, only a few minutes to Volterra. The hotel was ok, clean, but no a/c. The shower had no curtain. The girl who cleaned rooms and worked in the restaurant was very pleasant. She seemed to do everything there. Overall, it was a good place for the location but... More

The location is very nice as well as the personnel, especially the girl who works in there. But the rooms, even if clean, are too small and too spartan for the price they ask. Also the swimming pool area could be expolited much mich better. Moreover, the breakfast is nothing special: the coffee and brioches taste like nothing. I think... More

My family and I visited Volterra last fall. This hotel offers beautiful views of the rolling hills of Tuscany. Very warm and cozy atmosphere. Breakfast service was great. Staying away from the hustle and bustle of a touristy attraction was our main goal. This hotel gave us just that.

My partner and I have just returned from Tuscany and stayed at Albergo Villa Nencini for 5 nights. The hotel is in a very quiet location, just outside the walled town, and from its elevated position has beautiful views across the Tuscan countryside. Our room was clean, comfortable and simply furnished. The en-suite was modern and had toiletries which were... More
