We had to request a plumber on check in because the sink took a long time to drain. Followup was necessary and the problem remained unfixed till dinnertime. The water pressure was poor on the first day. It improved on the second day after we turned the valves open some more. The bathroom floor was severly wet after showers because... more

Does not live up to expectations. A real disappointment. The good: it’s clean, the interior rooms are relatively quiet for being in the center of town. Plenty of towels, roof terrace is nice, Giuseppina is nice The bad: dingy, outdated décor, very small rooms, uncomfortable bed, tiny room, difficult doors, nonexistent water pressure, toilet with a max flush rate of... more

May 3, 2009 We booked a double room on short notice the day before. When we dropped off our luggage in front of the hotel, we were literally in the center of town. The local police found us inside and asked us to move the car so they could pass. The two people on staff, Lisa and Giuseppina, are genuinely... more

We enjoyed our visit to this hotel. It was clean and the room was very nice. The ladies that run the place are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was outstanding. I agree with the others that the front rooms can be a little noisy. It's a perfect place to stopover from Rome to Cinque Terre. more

This is a nice hotel in a wonderful town. The staff was great and the room more than adequate by Euro standards. Breakfast was adequate. I recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Volterra. more

My wife and I have stayed here on numerous occasions, the last time being before our wedding in Volterra in October of 2006. All of our guests stayed here for the wedding and loved it. For a three star hotel it is top of the range. The hotel is located right in the centre of the town close to the... more

This hotel is located in the centre of Volterra so was very easy to find and it was close to restarants and so on. We had a nice big room with ensuite, although the shower was pretty pokey. It was located on the first floor at the front of the hotel (Room No. 21), above a busy street. There's no... more

We've stayed in the Albergo Etruria on two separate occasions over the last year, and we love it. It's true that the rooms at the top of the Hotel are a long trek up, but the views fro the roof garden on a fine day are well worth it. On a warm night you can take a bottle of wine... more

When I found the website for the Hotel Etruria, the hotel looked great. One major suprise was that there was no elevator and since we were on the top floor we had to walk up at least 10 flights of stairs with our luggage to get to our room. There was no one to help us and we nearly turned... more

We chose the Hotel Etruria for our little intimate wedding ceremony. The hotel has a little, cute garden on it's top level, just perfect for us with our three children to have champagne and an intimate ceremony. The rooms are adequate, a little small and dark, but clean. We chose it because the hotel is ideally located in a central... more
