We arrived late to Voltera in the middle of the yearly Medieval Festival and luckily after going around and around we found this hotel with parking (which not obvious) and situation on the quieter side of old city. The breakfast was the best on our three week tour of Italy.i would recommend to my friends

Nice bedrooms, not overly large but reasonably well equipped, comfortable and clean, not the best beds in the world but OK. The hotel is situated within 5 minutes walk of the main square and within 2 minutes of one of the city gates, the main shopping and eating areas a just a little beyond the square. It has the bonus... A very good hotel set in a fascinating town. We arrived quite late in the evening and the staff were immediately very welcoming and helpful in explaining the layout and facilities of the hotel. We were straightaway shown a map which identified the hotel's location in the town. It is very well situated. We were also shown the positions of... More

Being one of the few places to stay within the towns walls, it was a great location. Paid the extra to park the car in the nearby car park, and left it there for the few days we stayed. Was able to walk everyhere we needed in Volterra. Shops, restaurants and sites were not far away at all. Hotel was... More

The hotel is fine for a night or two if touring volterra but I wouldn't want to make a weeks holiday of it. Unfortunately the weather was wet and cold when we were there so were unable to utilise the pool, which infact could have made a difference. The staff on the front desk were lovely, welcoming and very helpful.... More

Lovely little hotel with very friendly staff. My husband used the pool which is very clean and on a lovely terrace. Our family stayed in the quadruple room which was very spacious. Excellent location as it is just inside the walled town so easily walkable to lots of restaurants. (Hotel has its own restaurant too). Very professional staff who are... More

A lovely hotel set in an excellent location. We arrived in the early afternoon on bicycles and were made to feel very welcome, spending an hour by the pool with some cool drinks! There was secure parking inside the hotel for our bikes, even a pump was provided. Rooms were very comfortable and spacious, the pool was super and the... More

We had a nice break staying at the San Lino Hotel in Volterra during June 2014. We booked 3 rooms and they were all good. The shower was very small in my room & the bathroom smelt of gas for some reason so we just left the window open. The pool area was nice, but unfortunately we did not get... More

We drove to Volterra after staying at another nice hotel in San Giminiano in mid-May 14. Arrived in Volterra and found hotel without much difficulty using satnav. Was greeted by very friendly and helpful check-in clerk and then headed to our room. The foyer was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. The room itself was large with a nice ensuite shower...
