We were let down by our original self catering lodgings in Tuscany at the last minute and booked Borgo Pignano 1 hour before we flew! This was for a B&B as we didn't realise at the time that they have self catering. The reception and engagement in that first phone call really set the scene for the quality that would... More

Few days in Borgo Pignano just feel like a dream. The view, the villa, the service, the food, the infinity pool, the green concept. It is all just perfect. The guest feel spoiled and loved. Many place can spoil you, but only few can love you. It is not possible to explain. You need to go.

During the last week of December 2014, stayed at Borgo Pignano with my extended Family. The Hotel exceded by far my expectations. Did not have any references on it before. The place is located in the countryside close to Volterra and San Gimignano. Great location to visit also Siena, Lucca, Chianti and many other nice towns. We had 4 rooms... More

We stayed in Borgo Pignano for 3 nights at the beginning of September and regretted we could not stay longer - we didn't want to leave! It's an incredibly child-friendly resort - with 3 different playgrounds, animals to view and daily activities. Our 1 year old is a fussy eater and so the chef went out of his way to... More

It was our first visit with my husband to Tuscany with an exciting concert of Andrea Boccelli in mind.Even we had to change our room after the first night , the staff were helpful & kind.It can be more comfortable if the children of other guests would be more quiet...The cook was excellent...The pool has a panoramic view of the... We arrived to find that there had been a problem with our bookings --however the quick and pleasant way the reception staff fixed the problem solved the problem at once . The bedrooms were large and quiet --the reception rooms were very comfortable and well decorated and the dining rooms were a pleasure to be in. The grounds of the... More

We stayed here at the end of September, with a group of friends and colleagues. It is immediately obvious that all staff members are inviting, particularly Camilla. The grounds are stunning, and all guests are invited onto a tour of the estate by Camilla; we saw the gardens, the chapel, the barns where the flour and honey is made, and... More

Beauty is a big part of any experience, especially when travelling in Italy . However it never is enough on its own. Borgo Pignano is stunning. Absolutely amazingly wonderful place. Rooms are perfect (not so much in the house at the bottom, Ikea beds at 200 a night and rooms that are not soundproof - which means you get to... More

Borgo P, Manager at Borgo Pignano, responded to this review

Dear Ms Siuzie, A manager’s natural reaction to negative reviews is to put his competencies under scrutiny. Customer service orientation, sense of hospitality, friendliness, and a myriad of further attributes are all examined with a fine-toothed comb. This is a difficult task: it requires taking a step back to widen one’s perspective. This allows me, as a manager, to empathize... More

This was my second stay at BP in consecutive years. It is a magical place, made so by the views, architecture and proximity to the main Tuscan towns. Oh, and then there's the food crafted by the imaginative hands of Anthony Burd who I am sure is destined for greater things when the charms of Tuscany can't hold him any... More

The Wedding which we arranged at Pignano was the most wonderful experience. All our worries and concerns disappeared with the excellent attention that the whole staff at the villa gave us. From the first arrival they were attentive and professional. Our stay in the hotel was just like being looked after personally in a country house. The food was excellent... More
