Orgiaglia is a truly wonderful place to stay. If you are Italian you will experience traditional Italian family hospitality at its best. If you are not Italian you will become embraced in a real Italian way of life and be transported away from your normal everyday routine by becoming absorbed in warm Italian hospitality, wonderful authentic Italian food, first class... I have lost count of the number of times I have been to Orgiaglia. It is always wonderful. The rooms are very comfortable and clean with on-suite facility. The food is first class, Franco is a master chef. The pasta dishes the bistecca alla fiorentina and chianti wine are to die for and truly authentic. Anyone planning a trip to... More

We spent two nights at this farmhouse, a lovely place far away from everything else. We was upgraded from room to apartment as they had one available. The owners dont speak much english, but communications goes well in a mix of all languages :) besides, their daughter helps with booking on mail and phone- and her english is excellent. The... More

After visiting for the first time a number of years ago we've been back since! Its a great place for total relaxation and we've had some memorable dinners with some lovely people, despite no common language!

I recently stayed for four nights. The hosts are fabulous and the dining experiences in the evening were suburb. I probably had the best funghi risotto I will ever eat in my life one evening. The breakfasts were so-so. The place is getting somewhat rundown. I'm sure it was beautiful when it was first built many years ago. The driveway... More

We just end up at Orgiaglia by chance, following a road unkown to us in a "let's get lost in the Tuscan countryside" day. We just spend few hours with Franco's family and taste some Tuscan style specialities. Awesome. Truly recommendable. It was a wonderful experience that cheer us up the rest of the day. Thank you guys, you are... More

It really is isolated but the welcome you get makes it more than worth while. The food is rustic and hearty and meals together are amazing fun. Franco, Umberta and their daughters go out of their way to create a relaxing family atmosphere. We had wonderful evenings, lovely meals, international games of table football and were very close to nature.... More

We were here mid June with my parents. This is an amazing place for a relaxing break. Fantasic food, company and service. We all really enjoyed the walking in the area and relaxing by and in the pool. The family are so welcoming and we definately left a few pounds heavier from the amazing food!!! The grounds here are wonderful,... More

Both. The family provides a warm welcome and the formula for dinner- eating with the family and other guests at a long table is good fun. The setting overlooking the Tuscan hills is great. BUT by the looks of it since the original investment in doing the place up (twenty plus years ago?) its been down hill all the way... More
