Located just a short walk outside the walls, the Antica Badia was an excellent place to stay on a short visit to Voltera. The hotel was very easy to access, had on site parking, minimal stairs to worry about, and a pool for the summer months. Nice breakfast, friendly staff and good wifi connection.

We spent one night, it's about 10min walk to the center and owners are kind. Room was basic, clean, not big but we didn't need to spend much time inside. Let's say that for the price we payed (60€ for a double room) it was really good hotel.

Spent 1 night at the Antica Badia before moving into our Volterra holiday villa & found it to be very good value. It was a relatively easy 10 minute walk to the city, the owner has limited English but we were able to communicate, it's very close to a Conad supermarket, adequate parking & while the rooms were a little... We spent a leisurely seven nights in Volterra, and this small family-run hotel proved the perfect base. If you're arriving by bus from Pontedera, it's very close to the first stop, and from the hotel it's 5-10 mins stroll uphill to the medieval city (if you turn off down some steps to the right, you can go up a quieter... we dont have any problem at all, the staff are nice, the swimming pool is clean and cold which is ideal for summer and we had a free access all the time, the breakfast though its not perfect but i liked the way they prepared in a very traditional way, its just five minutes walk to the city center, the... My wife and I spent 4 nights here in a double with an ensuite bathroom. The hotel is a short 5-10 minute uphill (it's not that bad) walk to the Volterra city walls. The room was very spacious and clean with a refrigerator. Ours did not work, but the kind owner offered to let us use the refrigerator downstairs for... More

After one night in another hotel which was one of the worst, Antica Badia was a very welcome change. Clean rooms, friendly staff, free internet in the lobby, and an amazing breakfast compared to other Italian locations. A 10 minute walk from the city, on a quiet street, and near a market for quick shopping. A separate entrance allows for... More

We were warmly received at this hotel by Sergio and Marzia. The bedroom was clean and comfortable and a lovely breakfast was served in the newly renovated downstairs dining area- fresh bread, cheeses, meats, yoghurt, cereal, juice and coffee, topped off with fresh warm croissants from the kitchen. The hotel is located close to the town centre and private parking... More
