It was a really nice big room, but not a very comfy bed, Everything was really clean. The hotel is really far away from the town so after a day long of walking it just killed us to return to the hotel walking. Staff not very polite. The room where the breakfast is served is a different story. It is... More

With a little help, this place could be a really nice three star hotel. The rooms are spacious and the water hot and the internet access great. But the plastic chairs and tables in that magnificent courtyard was a sin! The staff could be a little more upbeat as well and a few flowers or statues along the corridors would... More

Very quiet, great night sleep, clean and with friendly personnel. Everybody was very nice, the breakfast room is very interesting. The location is great to get to any destination in Tuscany, and the nights in this hostel so quiet we slept like babies. We would recommend it to any family travelling with children.

It is described as a hostel, but it is like no hostel I have ever stayed in. The building itself and the view from the room is stunning. They have kept the original features of the monastery including the bell tower, courtyard and frescos in the breakfast room. We sat outside on the night and admired the view. The room... More

This place is a little gem in San Gerolamo, 10 minutes walk from the Fortezza Medicea in Volterra. The helpfulness of staff, standards of rooms and overall peaceful atmosphere were fantastic. We would have stayed much longer, hadn't we already booked another place in Siena which I adore. A must place to stay which is also twinned with the Foresteria... More

we were abolutely happy with everything at this hotel. It looks fantastic, great breakfast, helpful service. It's about 15minutes walk from Volterra centre. On side, free and safe car park. We found this hotel the most quiet one on our one week roundtrip.

So glad we stayed here. 4 of us women shared a VERY spacious room with plenty of closet space. The bathroom had separate toilet, shower, and sink areas, so it works really well for multiple people in the room. It is a 15-min. walk into town. There is a FANTASTIC restaurant by the Coop that you pass on the way... More

The room we stayed in was quite dusty and this was noticeable not only on the floors but as well on the top beds (the cover sheets were very very dusty). However, the bathroom was clean, breakfast was ok. We were by car and getting to the historical center was easy - right before the main entrance there's a spacious... More

Great place to stay. Simple but well maintained rooms. Good breakfast. Only down was walking there with our bags and 4 children. Didn't realize it was that far. Without the bags and after staff had shown us an easier way of getting to the town it would take about 15/20min to walk. The options to stay in the town would... More

Actually we've never stayed before at a place like this. It was a very interesting experience to stay in a former monastery. Its atmosphere was really inspiring. Our room was quite spacious and comfortable, very clean and bright and the bathroom too. We loved the small church next to the hotel. The breakfast room is incredible with the original (?)... More
