This is such a lovely and quiet place and the owner is beyond welcoming. She was very helpful by lending us her iron and booking taxis. The apartment itself has got everything you need and is very spacious. It's very clean, too. The outside part is very well maintained and the pool is lovely. Just the right space to have... More

Slightly busy country road nearby, but v quiet generally. Nicely restored, with a pleasant small pool. Yummy and thoughtful breakfast, very helpful staff and a warm welcome. Would stay again if I were in the area for sure. Great restaurant nearby that they recommended and I will try to find to review - Moulin something, about 8km north up the... More

It was a spectacular setting with a cosy room overlooking the gardens and pool area....Alessia, our host, was a doll....She was very patient and full of great ideas of places to see and visit. Breakfasts were served in a lovely gazebo and were out of this world with juice, coffee, prosciutto, cheese, fruit and a fresh baked cake or pastry.... More

We began our stay in Tuscany at Villa Loghino. We were warmly greeted by owner, Aleesia. The double room at the b&b was clean, the grounds stunning, including a lovely pool. It was a great location to visit the town of Voltarra (10k away) or just roam the countryside. We started each morning in an outdoor garden gazebo with an... More

A lovely Villa with great hospitality. Alessia is a great host and cooks the best breakfast. She makes her own croissants with the most delicious lemon spread. Every morning you are served a different breakfast with lovely coffee and juice. Our room was spacious with views over the garden and the bed was really comfortable. If we weren't out and... More

Alessia and her husband are excellent hosts. I had to phone a couple of times since we got lost on the road and Alessia was extremely patient in giving directions. They were always ready to answer our questions/give suggestions. They room was clean with enough towels, extra blankets etc. We had our yummy breakfast in the garden. Apart from coffee,... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Villa Loghino is built at the feet of a woody hill, on the right bank of Era river, in a zone full of excursion paths that are between forests, rivers and gully, in the heart of a suggestive tuscan landscape. It is located in the open country, completely gathered in the green tonalities, nearly to guard the local fauna, still numerous.Villa Loghino is at 5 km from the historical town Volterra, its position permits to the guests to get easily the sea (40 Km) and the main principal towns such as Siena (50 Km), San Gimignano (20 Km), Florence (90 Km) and Pisa (60 Km).The story tells that Villa Loghino was originally the first oil mill at Volterra, facilitated by the presence of harvesting olive fields and by the abundance of the river waters. Then it was leaved apart and it became the cardinal house and then, only for few years, it was habitated by some families and farmers. In 1980 the whole property was bought by the couple Carla and Vittorio Scali, who began immediately a careful restauration of the owners house in order to make a residence for lovers of Tuscany. ... more   less
