If you like modern concrete and glass hotels who don't really care about you then go elsewhere. This hotel provides real "old fashioned" service. The waiters are excellent, reception always friendly and helpful. AND you don't have to suffer those awful buffet dinners that seem to be taking over the holiday world. Location is also great - avoiding the problems... More

I am a teacher at a central London school and last May we travelled with 30 children to Vico Equense to take in the ruins at Pompeii and Herculaneum and to climb Mount Vesuvius. The service at Aequa was superb and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. This is a boutique style hotel, so the rooms were not overly... More

My Wife and I spent the last half of our honeymoon at Aequa Hotel based on a recommendation from a friend who had been there. I'm really glad we did! After confirming the reservation through hotels.com i believe, someone named Giacomo emailed me a few minutes later to thank me for reserving a room there and to let us know... More

My wife and I did a whirlwind trip through Italy at the end of October. My cousin, who is Italian, suggested we book this hotel for our stay in Sorrento. What a great surprise! The view from our room was breathtaking and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. If you are looking for "fancy" this may... More

I stayed at the Aequa Hotel at the end of September, along with a group from Travelsphere. The staff could not have been kinder or more helpful. My room was clean and comfortable. Water pressure in the shower was unsatisfactory but the problem was corrected promptly. Wifi didn't seem to work in the room but did in the reception area... More

I recently travelled with a party from a school which has been visiting the Aequa for a number of years. The trip was memorable for all the right reasons. The positioning of the hotel is ideal for visiting the classical sites in the Bay of Naples (including Pompeii, Pozzuoli, Herculaneum, Oplontis, Paestum and the museum in Naples itself). Vico Equense... More

A weeks stay in early October as part of a tour group (late season). The hotel has some very good points. The excellent staff were attentive and professional. They remembered your personal requirements, were friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel itself is well sited in the centre of Vico with easy access to bars and cafes. The lobby is comfortable... I have taken school groups from New Zealand to this hotel on at least 8 occasions, beginning in the early nineties, my most recent visit being in July 2012. The hotel has improved in many ways over these years, at the same time retaining the charm of an unspoilt and family-run business. The town is safe and ideal for overseas... More

We stayed at this hotel as an independent couple (no tour group) the last week of September. I must admit that we have very little experience with European hotels and as such we are not qualified to make this a comparative review. Also, I realize that Aequa Hotel is under the Italian system rated as a 3-star hotel, which I... More

We stayed here for a week as part of a TravelSphere group in an upgraded room. Check in was prompt and, as throughout our stay, staff in reception and elsewhere were helpful and friendly. We stayed on a half board basis. Breakfasts were OK though I would have welcomed more cereal choice. When the dining room was full items tended... More
