I took a group of university students to the Hotel Aequa in February 2015. From the start, the hotel management could not have been more helpful and when we arrived this good impression was confirmed. The hotel's location in the centre of VIco Equense is perfect, as are the views over the Bay of Naples. Comfortable, friendly and the perfect... More

The hotel was quite basic, beds uncomfortable and a little run down. I also had trouble with the heat which was a problem in winter. The staff were friendly, and located in a good spot. Breakfast was OK, but not many options aside from toast, gluten free options provided, but give the coffee a miss.

Having had a wonderful stay in this hotel about a year previously when accompanying a school group (see my earlier review of this hotel, October 2013), we were looking forward to returning on our own and once again it exceeded our expectations. This time, we were only able to stay for a long weekend, but the mid-October weather was perfect... More

I have been in this hotel several times. Mainly work takes me around this area. The hotel is simple but with all the comforts. The staff and the cooks are what make the best of this stay. They mak you feel the most important person of the hotel anytime you talk to them, very accommodating, very charming and warm. Great... More

Great location overlooking the bay of Naples, with a big pool and charming terrace; rooms individually furnished, not mass-produced; very helpful staff; good value for money; and right near the station, so you can make indiviuual trips to Sorrento, Capri, the Amalfi coast, Naples, Pompeii and other arcaeological sites.... you'll run out of time!

It´s a little nice hotel with good pay for the money. Nice personal and small but nice rooms with big terasses. The food was not the best even if the breakfast was rich. The coffee was the best I´ve ever had.

I cannot really add to previous reviews. The hotel is in a great location for visiting all the sites and the village itself is charming. The hotel although jaded is lovely, we found it to be clean. The staff were great and very helpful. They moved us to a room with views over the bay as we found our original... More

Great location...close to Pompeii and Amalfi Coast. Agostino was so helpful organising transport and also day tour to Pompeii. Rooms very comfortable and overlook Mt Vesuvius. The garden setting was beautiful and the terrace a great spot to have an afternoon drink and watch the sunset and Mt Vesuvius. Pool big and so clean. Loved the old worldly atmosphere of... More

As mentioned by other reviewers it is so disappointing that a hotel in one of the best locations is let down by the standard of food. Unfortunately the food is 'canteen' like and the restaurant lacks atmosphere. This is the hotel of choice for Travelsphere which is disappointing considering they are such a premium tour company. I would recommend this... More

The hotel itself is in a lovely setting and the staff are very helpful and friendly. However, the food was very disappointing. This may be because we were on a Travel Sphere trip as I noted that delicious meals were being produced for other guests in the restaurant. We chose to eat out on 2 occasions because of this and...
