We took this as a pleasure trip and considered the coastal resort of Viareggio as a good base to visit Florence, Pisa and Luca from. The Hotel was well air conditioned and the room the same. We stayed in particularly hot spell at the beginning of July. The room was very clean and functional and the bed was firm and... More

We enjoyed our stay. Excellent staff, polite and helpful.Plenty of choice for breakfast and half board menu changed every two days. Meal is 4 courses served with style. Not many brits there but hotel staff spoke English well and were willing to help to arrange trips. Station is about 15 mins stroll away and we visited Lucca and Pisa in... More

Great hotel with helpful staff, particularly the guy in the bar.breakfast was simply the best , don't think I have ever seen so much choice. The bedroom was a good size with an espresso machine which is always good ! City tax was 4 euros each per day. Parking was available on the street at 8 euros per day but make... More

We knew what we booked, a hotel on the front at Viareggio in August. We expected outside noise, beaches you need to pay for and lots of tourists. That's what we got. What made it better was the hotel staff who were more than helpful, always smiling and made the guests feel special. Special thanks to Nadim the barman who... More

This hotel is a gem. It's right on the strip, and the hotel has an affiliation with a private beach club across the street. For a fee, you can rent two beach chairs and an umbrella (already set up) for the day. The hotel itself was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Although we didn't meet too many... More

We spent 5 nights at this typical Italian hotel. Would recommend a sea facing room and pay extra for a balcony as at night you can watch the world go by along the entire sea front. Whilst there is no pool (despite a misleading hotel site photo) there is a discount rate for Irene beach club facing the hotel. The... More

Fantastic hotel. Worth paying the extra for a room with sea view and balcony. The hotel is in a great location on the promemade close to shops, restaurants and bars. We stayed for 9 nights. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was superb with a wide choice. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitley... More

We wee in a sea view room on the top floor which gave a fantastic view right up and down the beautiful promenade. The room was lovely and very comfortable. We included evening meal each night and the quality was superb with the breakfast every morning first class an plenty of choice. The staff were particularly helpful, especially ella who... More

From the moment we stepped into the Hotel President in Viareggio we could tell it was going to be a great experience. The guy on reception was so helpful and friendly. We were late arriving and we thought we may have missed our evening meal as we were half board but he informed us that the staff had our table... More
