This hotel is only a few meters from the sea, it's charming and renovated. The housekeeping service comes twice a day, the restaurant in the top floor is romantic and relaxing. The breakfast could be improved: a toaster would be appreciated. Also fresh fruits were in fact absent. Last details: the hotel staff should answer the review here: it is... More

Where do I start? The only positive thing to say was the towels were lovely and fluffy and housekeeping staff were pleasant. Everything else was wrong on a monumental scale. The most unprofessionally run hotel I’ve ever stayed at. BREAKFAST: We travelled in a party of 6, not one single morning did we get a table at breakfast together. The... More

The last time I stayed in a room this small, I was a penniless college student in a one star hostal in Barcelona 30 years ago. I really mean small; in fact so small that the foldable suitcase-stand placed between the bed and the air conditioner wouldn't open completely. No power outlets next to the bed, so you'll have to... Descent hotel in a good location & has a nice restaurant on the top floor, Menu choices were not many but of a good standard, with a good & friendly staff. Were able to hire bicycles from the reception there & would recomend this as there is a long coastline to cycle down which is flat so no hills to... More

Stayed here with my partner early June, room clean traditionally furnished, small facing inner courtyard so no view, bathroom good with lovely thick towels. Air con worked well which was welcome as it was really hot! The negative for me is that there is nowhere to sit outside. There is a very large lounge full of sofas but unused, why... More

I'll confess: my partner and I have been coming again and again to Viareggio for a period spanning nearly 20 years, and we dearly love this town--now especially so after our fourth stay at The Plaza. Earlier this month we stayed 9 nights (with half board) and can again say that it was marvellous. Now, I didn't review last year's... More

Stayed 3 nights in this excellent hotel. Being a off-peak season, I was offered a rate of less than €200 for 3 nights stay. Great value for such a nice hotel. The decor of the hotel is done in the concept of the 20-30s Liberty styled setting. Rooms have high celing and reasonable size. Careful when selecting a room. Those... More

I stayed at the Plaza e De Russie for the third time. Stayed with my sister and my 12 yr old daughter. My daughter and I love staying here as the location is very convenient to the beach and shopping and the fantastic gelato. Our room when we walked in was set up with one queen bed...not what I imagined.... More

Having read tripadvisor reviews about the noise, the advice was NOT to have a room overlooking the sea. So I booked a room over the courtyard. On arrival the receptionist said I was upgraded to a sea room. I said I booked one over the courtyard, but they were all full, hence my so-called upgrade. Since I went to the... More
