When we arrived the staff were very friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable and we were grateful for the air conditioning. Although initially I was disappointed to have a view of the side street and no balcony this wasn't a problem as we mostly stayed on the beach until very late or went and sat on the roof terrace.... Once you enter the hotel it is like you are being transported back to the 80's, where it probably had its period of grandure. From the elevator to the keycard with the wholes in it (which i haven't seen since the late 80's) everything reminds you of the 80's. Not necessarily in a bad way - it just does. Quality... More

This hotel has the potential to be very grand with a lot of investment and you can see that in its day it was an amazing hotel with its high ceilings and period features. We really enjoyed our stay here despite the outdated bathroom, the worn out carpets and the old fashioned door locks with a key- to name a... More

My husband booked last minutes three nights to visit me at Viareggio. When we arrived at the hotel I was happy to see the nice entrance hall. The man at the reception saw our reservation and gave us the key without any explanation about the hotel. Not very friendly. When we entered our room I was really disappointed. The wall... More

First outstanding thing I have recognized in this hotel was amazing breakfast bouffet - anyhow amazing for Italian hotels (very big fruits buffet & als European part with cheese & ham). Location is very good - near to the beach and not far away from the centre of the town. They have a bar on the roof - unfortunatelly only... More

The hotel is 19th century throughout! The breakfast choice is really good(especially if you want a slice of fruit cheesecake for breakfast) haha. Our room (310) was really spacious and nice but the shower wasn't working so we went down to the reception to see if it could be fixed, it couldn't until the next morning so they said we... More

Once again we have returned to the Palace for our yearly visit. We were very pleased to find that the standard of dinner in variety, quality and quantity had returned to its previous high standard compared to last year. Unfortunately the complaints of last year had an obvious effect as many of those we are accustomed to meet most years... More

Stayed here for 5 nights in June/July. Had a lovely comfortable room with balcony and sea view. Lovely modern bathroom with very nice toiletries. Didn't eat in the hotel apart from excellent breakfasts which had a great choice of hot and cold food. The staff were all extremely helpful, especially those on reception. We particularly liked the terrace bar and... More
