This was our second visit to the Majestic because we were so impressed the first time, and it was not disappointing. The hotel itself is beautiful, and superbly maintained and cleaned. The facilities are outstanding, with a terrace bar, restaurants and a wide selection of things to eat at breakfast. The rooms are beautiful. The staff are supremely courteous, helpful... More

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and have mixed feelings about our stay. We liked the indoor pool and the garden with the gorgeous view, however the hotel is a bit 'worn'. The room is ok (basic but clean), except part of the ceiling came loose. Prices for drinks/food are exorbitant. 58 euro for 2 simple salads and... More

Idyllic five night stay and a heavy heart on departure. We had planned a three night stay and extended because the hotel as always charmed us. This was our third visit and we look forward to many more. Quiet, old fashioned, polished until it shines...we have stayed in more luxurious but none more special. Staff excellent and the waiter who... More

Looking forward to staying at a Grand hotel on Lake Maggoire and was enthused about the grand entrance and front staff service. Very sumpuous furniture lending to a beautiful outlook of the lake. Then to find a plastic cactus amidst this, strange to say the least. Had to return to desk to ASK for the aircon to be turned on,... More

Quite old school but with pride - the room we had on the top floor was fabulous with two huge balconeys - one with side lake view. We went half board and the food was very good, I suppose a bit overpriced but very convenient and the location is amazing. The maître de is rather self important but also very... More

This hotel overlooks the lake and has stunning views. It is quite large with 4 floors around a central atrium . Some of the rooms seemed a little on the small side but they tendered to be the ones not with lake views. The facilities were excellent as you would expect from a hotel of this standard. It is about... More

I stayed here in late July to early August. I was initially apprehensive that some of the reviews mentioned niggles with staff but I am pleased to report that all of the staff were great. We had a superior room, with a balcony overlooking the back of the hotel, it got the sun in the morning and was great for... More

This is a truly "Belle Époque" hotel. Full of style and priced accordingly. This was not cheap. How sad then that the place seems to be run by accountants. Some staff individually were friendly and helpful, but quietly implied that they were restricted in what they can do by management control, always under cost considerations. At breakfast all but cold... More

We stayed here first with friands to attend a wedding in the garden which is absolutely beautiful and the view stunning. There is an indoor pool which is also very nice, and small private beach to go for a swim in the lake. However rooms are very old looking, especially the bathrooms with tiny showers, which réally werent what we... More

Great location, grand building, friendly reception; food average minus, restaurant staff, especially the maitre d' need significant training in customer relations! A/C turned off by a central control on apparently random basis and needs much chasing to have it restored. General feeling of penny pinching and squeezing every last euro from guests. Extremely disappointing for the reputation they claim for... More
