My husband and I have recently returned from spending a week at the Grand Hotel Majestic in Verbania on Lake Maggiore. We went there to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. In one word it was 'perfect'. The staff were polite, discreet but very friendly and helpful. The hotel was immaculate and the rooms spotless. We arrived to find that we... more

We stayed at the Grand Hotel majestic as part of a group of 22 from Australia. The hotel is in a magnificent and relaxing location from where we did considerable walking and boat trips. THe staff, rooms and catering were all exemplary and we could not could fault anything. A very relaxing hotel to stay. more

We stayed at the Grand Hotel Majestic for a week in August 2008. We found the staff and the owner to be very helpful and accomodating whenever we had a request. We stayed in a regular room for the first few days and were then upgraded to a beautiful suite with a large balcony. The standard rooms are fairly small,... more

This experience was truly bottom barrel. The outside of the hotel looks very nice. Once entering the worn out lobby you see a lovely view of the lake. The concierge reception was excellent. It ends there. The elevator is filled with a moldy smell. Clearly this hotel is sitting on a major water problem. The woman who took us up... more

I think this over the top, others may say "old world charm". The hotel is not bad, but it does not match other members of SLH. Our so called luxury junior suite had nice balconies, but nut not a proper shower. The restaurant pretends to be a luxury restaurant, but the food is not very interesting, and the service is... more

I just returned from this wonderful hotel with a group of 14 adults. I can't say enough good things about the hotel....it was beautiful; the location is wonderful; the staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were updated, clean, and lovely. The food in the restaurant is excellent and the view from the terrace is incomparable. We had to... more

We wanted to visit somewhere incredibly romantic for our wedding anniversary and we chose to visit the Italian Lakes. Specifically we chose Lake Maggiore because of its reputation for having fewer tourists and hence more peace and tranquility. Pallanza was the perfect location; a small lakefront town with the excellent facilities for a relaxed holiday. If you are in need... more

This hotel has all the potential, still, to be a Great Hotel but it is troubled: With trees that block a world class view; and restaurant staff that look miserable because of the appaling head waiter - God knows why the man has a job at all let alone at this SLH. Yes, the rooms are from a past age... more

We have just left the Majestic after 4 days of bliss in a lakeview deluxe suite booked through Luxurylink. The package included a lovely 4 course dinner at the hotel restaurant, la Beola and a n excellent massage at the spa. The welcome, daily attention and service we received from ALL the staff but especially Rafaella, Silvia, Allesandro and Tomas... more

I had to visit Verbania for work and my husband came along too, we stayed at the Grand Hotel Majestic and were very impressed with the room and staff. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very helpful with directions and any other information we needed regarding restaurants or other area attractions. more
