We were in a private room and for the price the quality was poor. Badly lit room, terrible shower (you can't control the temperature, it's a button like in public toilets. The pressure of water is so high that it hurts). No internet in the bedroom, only in the lobby. We had 2 separated beds too.

We stayed for 4 days in late July. Despite the busy time we managed to book 4 nights the morning we arrived (since we didn't have a credit card). For the first night, we got a nice and spacious double bed room (shared bathroom). For the following 3 nights, we had to switch to a dormitory (shared bathroom). - very... More

The location is perfect - just a short walk to the waterfront. We went to Jambalaya Cafe and it was a fun place to get drinks and food. We were the only people staying at the hostel on a Friday night, but we had a blast. There is Nintendo and game stations, a book trade, and an amazing breakfast in... More

This was a sad experience. The location indeed is nice and the building impressive but that's about it. Very sad because the place could be nice. But obviously nobody cared at all for a long time. It is run down and things are old, wobbly and broken. We froze sleeping on old and cheap matrasses. We didn't dare to take... More

Stayed here for 2 days in May. The area of Verbania & around lake Maggiore is absolutely beautiful, and as you would expect prices are high so this was the cheapest option for Verbania at 50 Euro per night. The location is ok. To get to the Lake you have to walk down a very steep cobbled walkway, which in... More

This hostel is located in a stunning villa in the upper class neighbourhood of Verbania: Castagnola. Don't go there without a proper map or satellite navigation or you'll get lost. Castagnola is a maze: narrow, winding streets. It is also recommended to explore the surroundings with a car. The two city centres of Verbania (Intra and Palanza) are a few... More

The hostel is in a beautiful old building, however it is very spacious inside. There is large common rooms, lots of balconies, an outdoor area, and free WiFi. Beds are comfortable, there is safe storage and the showers are good as well. The breakfasts were terrific, plentiful with a good range. There is so much to see in the area.... More

The hostel is located just beautifully and we enjoyed our trip as a family very much. The sanitary rooms are clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is much more than typically Italian. Go on and try to beat magic Pasquale in a table tennis match! Maybe you'll win a homemade Panna cotta... - all the... More

A very good central location. We've visit a lot of famous places (like Villa Taranto, Stresa, Mottarone, Borromeo island) without car, just walk, bus and boat, it's wonderful! All the dorms have a fantastic view on the lake. The bathroom we've shared has hair dryer, it was good for Marge, is'nt it? Gorgeous breakfast and all clean. Quiet setting and... More
