The description of the hotel, while sounding nice enough, is understated and really does not provide an adequate feeling of how wonderful it actually is. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean and well maintained with wonderful views of the ocean. Our room had a nice sized private balcony, with a... More

Located just 10min walking distance to historic down town, this modern ocean view hotel doesn't have many rooms, which is just perfect. It has everything else including the nicest and kindest staff. Room on upper floor has sea view, balcony that allows 2 chairs for sunbathing and another 2 chairs & table for "aperitivo" etc. Walls are thick-no noise from... More

I spent 4 nights at this lovely place. The hotel has 15 rooms. Mine was at street side, but there is no noise pollution as the street is very calm. There is almost no traffic. The room was not very big but sufficiently comfortable; especially the bed. The hotel is located at the edge of a rock overlooking the sea... More

Spend two weeks with my wife in the beautiful Rocca Della Sena. Rooms (Cost front) are very nice and quiet . View is spectacular. Bathroom is spacy. WiFi is working well and Breakfast is one of the best you can find in Italy. Only negative Point. Prices are o.k. for 1 or 2 nights. For long staying guests they are... More

Tropea is a gem of a beach, and the Rocca Della Sena, has everything a visiter could hope for. I loved being a little away from the main streets in a gorgeous, clean, and funny room. Yes, I think this hotel has a sense of humor with rainbow lighting in the shower right next to the bed. Our balcony, breathtaking... More

A beautiful hotel in a magnificent setting with a balcony overlooking the sea. The gardens are beautiful and so is the rest of the hotel. Rooms are well sized and immaculate. All staff were first class and treated us like family. They were particularly delightful with my one year old son.

This was the first time we had been to this part of Italy and we were not disappointed. We arrived at the hotel earlier than the booking time and were told our room was available. We were staying in a room at the back of the hotel for three nights and then moving to a sea view room for a... More

When we were in Italy, last year, we had an awful experience with a hotel in the beautiful Calabrian town of Tropea. We’d booked into a nearby hotel for four nights, but it was so terrible, we left the next morning, not knowing if we’d get a refund. We’d heard of Hotel Rocca della Sena and reviews suggested it was... More

A little gem of a hotel - we stayed here for 6 nights in August in a panoramic sea view room. The view is amazing and well worth the extra cost for the upgrade. The breakfast is fantastic, so much choice. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. There are 180 steps down to... More
