Chose this hotel as it was cheap (comparatively) and located in convenient area. Room was clean, with big bathroom. Decor is dated, i.e. 1970s/80s style but as we don't spend much time in our room when on holiday it didn't bother us. Bed was rather hard. We asked for a room with a sea view and got Rm 705 which... The hotel is in need of some TLC however the rooms, staff and communal areas are relaxed and friendly. The pool is a delight and kept clean and sparkling. The reception staff are multi-lingual and friendly, the rooms are cleaned every day and the domestic staff are friendly and willing to help. Tirrenia is a wonderful base with lovely beaches... More

I suppose since there is been nor enough richer tourists neither any decent hotel miles around the hotel has had no need of any investment. The hotel looks grand from distance, little less in the lobby, friendly receptionists are helpfull, than you open the door of the room and...my God welcome to 1990. All the rooms on the floor the same,we checked... More

Was here visiting my dad as he was staying here for work. We had room 210 and it was perfect with a lovely balcony above the pool. The pool was very clean and the perfect temperature. The bed was very big and comfortable and the room was cleaned every day. Would definitely visit again!

Checked in Grand Hotel Golf on Sunday 26th May 5 nights. We had room 306 and must admit that it was better than I expected after reading the other reviews. Admittedly it was like walking back in time but it was probably one of the largest hotel rooms we've had in a long time. The bed was huge and we... More

The Grand Hotel Golf has been in Tirrenia for many years. it is showing its age, but remains a nice place to stay. The staff is very responsive and friendly. They are also multi-lingual. The location is excellent, only a few minutes walk to any place in the Tirrenia downtown. Despite it's proximity to the town center, it is quiet,... More

I booked this hotel last minute whilst on a road trip to Pisa. On arrival at the hotel, at gone midnight, they had no evidence of our booking and even though I was able to show them the confirmation email on my phone, they were reluctant to give us a room. After I left my boyfriend to deal with the... More

Nice location, clean and spacious rooms, helpful staff, low price. BUT the hotel has not been renovated for a quarter of century. Too old furniture, smell of old structure, sealing full of spots, unacceptable condition of the bath equipment - see the photos. The breakfast was very poor, with the cheapest ham and cheese and only one kind of croissant.... More

Myself and my wife stayed at this hotel for four nights in early October. We arrived at the hotel late at night and our check in went very smoothly.Simone on reception spoke very good English and the room she gave us was very good with a golf course view. However on realising some rooms had sea views I asked if there was... The good points of this hotel was that there was a large breakfast, adequate parking, elevators, and generous sized rooms. Still, I thought it was grossly over-priced. No wifi or internet access (except in the lobby- which never worked), old bathrooms with crumbly walls, no deadbolts on the doors, a nice balcony but with no outdoor furniture and only one... More
