− ARRIVAL − We arrived on Stromboli around 5 pm by ferry. It's a long walk to the Il Giardino Segreto, and very uncomfortable by foot. It will take you 20-30 minutes by foot, with a constant slope of approx. 30%. If you want to go to the Il' Giardino Segreto, taking one of the available golf-cart-taxis is a good... More

First of all, it is relatively far away from the center and even more from the port. Even worse is that to arrive you need to walk up over an extenuating hill. Imaging now to do that with the luggages... Then, when you arrive finally to the B&B (completely sweating), it looks like in works, not finished yet, even a... More

Booked thru' hotels.com for a one night visit, and extraordinarily expensive for the room we had at 132 euros for two adults an a child, which was basically a wooden shed shielded from the worst of the heat by greenery. Yes its a long walk up a steep hill, nothing wrong with that, not really difficult to find as some... More

We would definitely NOT recommend this place. We had pre-booked for two nights. Noticed that they had "courtesy" vespa taxis in the yard that said Il Giardino Segreto but a ride was never offered and it was a long walk up the hill to get to the place. When we arrived, we had to wait for the guy to show... More

Located away from and on top of the city but within a reasonable walk, if you are in ok shape. The service is nice and the place oozes of vacation and relaxation in a good way. Could easily be used as a romantic getaway or as a quick stop-over for a climb of the volcano.

Clean very basic at the top of the village, ideal for walking on the mountain suitable for back packers, selection of individual huts, lovely view from roof terrace of Stromboli and the sea, torch needed as lights not always on and no street lights. hitched a ride on a golf cart and was charged 10 euros so print a map... When we arrived at the property they lied telling us that we were driven to his other accommodations. Eventually we realized we had booked more people than they could accommodate, and put us in a room in a house of an acquaintance. We had to negotiate and pay directly with that person, and the situation did not claim them face... More

I must say that the room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The B&B is a good 10-15 min walk steeply uphill from the port and it would have been very useful if there were some signs in the town to indicate that we were on the right track. We had some difficulty in finding anyone to check us in... More

This is a lovely b&b 5 minutes walking from the main square of Stromboli. The owners are lovely people as well as the staff. The place is very simple and they left us the keys of our room for our own freedom. We just felt at home and a friendly dog and a very sweet cat made our stay even... More

This B&B is at the top of the village, so if you are not inclined to climb to your accommodation after going down into the village for meals then it is not the place for you. Our room was under the rooftop terrace and quite dark, but very comfortable with good shower. The view from the breakfast terrace was stunning... More
