One thing everybody should be aware of: Stromboli is a remote islands, which means that pretty much everything, inkluding ALL water is brought to the island by ship! So if you are used to luxury holidays where you can get anything you want at any time, have anything for dinner and shower for hours, then Stromboli as a destination is... More

Not too far from the beach, and very close from the city center, the residence is absolutely lovely even if we booked the smallest room, and service is delightful. Extremely rare, breakfast was excellent. Only downside is was a little noisy.

Besides the wonderful scenery of the island there is this oasis where you can enjoy a beautiful garden, nice accomodation, pleasant people and really feel you are on vacation. if i could i would come every year and spend my time at Aquilone. I have enjoyed a wonderful time and my excelent rating is for real. Thank you!

Aquilone is about 15 minutes walk from the main pier, we struggled a bit to find it at first, but the location is great with lots of restaurants, shops and even a medical centre around. The residence is located just in between a restaurant called Barbablu and a B&B called La Lampara. There is a little pathway leading to it... More

We stayed at Aquilone for one night as we came to see the volcano. The owner Francesco is very kind and helpful and the room was comfortable. as the water is all shipped into the island, it is good to be conservative with use, as such the bathroom for the room was basic butIi assumed this was to encourage you... Aquilone is a nice place. Francesco is the friendly, helpful owner, who helps, give information and serves a decent (non-italian) breakfast. The rooms are small and noisy, but from his small terrace you have a magnificent view on the sea and the volcano. unfortunately you can't see the lava burst, therefore you go to the observatory, or even better take... First of all, the B&B is not well indicated so quite difficult to find. The place is shady with lots of vegetation which is appreciable in summer. I found the rooms comfortable but a bit tight as the ceiling is low. The decoration is completely out of date so I personaly disliked it. The breakfast is correct. The B&B is... More

Perfect place to stay when visiting Stromboli island, we definitely recommend it. Friendly and helpful staff, charming place and tasteful decoration, good breakfast and services. As we couldn't climb on top of Stromboli because of a particularly sticky cloud, we will definitely be back and stay at Residence Aquilone!

We stayed for 2 nights in a family quadruple room so we could climb the volcano. The room was cosy and the bathroom very small but you do get a lovely terrace in the gardens to sit out in. The service was very friendly - when I said that we would be taking the 0715 ferry back to the mainland,... More

PROS: -Super friendly staff (Especially Adrian and Valentin!) that went out of their way to make sure our stay was worthwhile. They both spoke English and told us everything we needed to know from where to get the best gelato, to what to do. -The rooms are a basic, but a great value on the island and with cute decor....
