We live in Italy and we're getting difficult to impress. Yes you could say we're a bit blasé. However after one week in Tuscany (crowds can kill the magic- MG it's touristy) we stopped in Umbria on our way back home and we fell in love with Spoleto . I think that our hotel had to do a lot with... more

We were delighted with the whole experience of staying as guests of the Diotallevi family. The hotel is located in a quiet street near the top of the old town close to several excellent restaurants. Room 8 is spacious and elegant with a balcony with views over the valley and the Duomo. The four poster was blissfully comfortable and there... more

Good location near the cathedral, wonderful views from the room. We got a very nice large room, but bed was a bit on the hard side. Good breakfast. One oddity: I noticed a wireless router on the corridor outside our room so asked for a password to use it - this was late evening and the only man on duty... more

Hotel Palazzo Dragoni. We stayed there on 4/25. Absolutely beautiful view from this hotel. If you are driving be aware that it is difficult to find—very glad that we had our Garmin Nuvi as we missed a few turns. Be sure to printout the directions from hotel website. If you don’t want to drive narrow windy streets, you might want... more

We only had one night at this lovely small hotel but it was one of the best we encountered during our four weeks in Italy. Our room (no.10) was very comfortable & spacious with the most wonderful views. It was extremely quiet which for me is a necessity. The tariff was very reasonable for a hotel of this quality. Breakfast... more

We spent 4 nights in the hotel recently. It is a sixteenth century building near the Duomo with great views from the bedrooms and the dining room to the Duomo, over the roofs of Spoleto and the hills beyond. Don't expect a modern hotel. The lobby and public rooms have antique furniture as do the bedrooms. The chest of drawers... more

This hotel is in a superb setting with wonderful views down the vale of Spoleto - make sure you get a room with this view. Located at the top of town, close to the Duomo, Rocco, Torre and restaurants. A little difficult to negotiate our way through the town by car as there were road works at the time but... more

My family and I enrolled in the Spoleto Cooking School [--] and this is the hotel where this organization houses participants. The Dragoni is beautiful and the staff is lovely. The walk to the Cooking School was a nice way to start the day, and we could hear the opera singers warming up at the nearby opera house. A wonderful... more

Comfortable, charming small hotel. A bit difficult to find by car considering the narrow one-way streets. All was rewarded at the end. Our room was on the top floor and looked out over the unbelieveably beautiful countryside. Limited english speaking reception personnel but helpful nevertheless. Location is central for walking about the town. more

It was great to have a first-hand experience of this "rara avis": a historic Palazzo built in the XIV century and yet with the mod cons that would put to shame a four star hotel. We had room n. 8 and from its balcony we were presented with a gorgeous view: the spread of the Umbrian hills, Spoleto itself and,... more
