We stayed 5 nights in October, 4 nights in Room 8 with the Grand View, and one night in room 12 with a view of the Duomo. Both rooms were spacious, comfortable, and quiet. The rooms retain their original character and are a welcome change from big chain hotel uniformity. Rooms have heating, needed in October, and air conditioning. Breakfast... More

The view from the room across the valley was spectacular, the room itself excellent, breakfast showed Italian knowhow and the owner was helpful at every turn when needed. This place in the heart of Spoleto is on top of centuries of history, see the fresco in the reception room. Class no other country but Italy can offer and grazie signor... More

We recently spent five nights at the Palazzo Dragoni in late September and fell in love with both the hotel and Spoleto - now our most favourite place in Umbria. The location is magical in the old part of Spoleto, very narrow and winding streets with stunning views of the Duomo. We did get a little lost upon our arrival,... More

We had the pleasure of staying 2 nights at Palazzo Dragoni in late September. The room was beautifully furnished and large with a separate sitting area. Our floor to ceiling windows overlooked the city and made for a wonderful way to wake up. Breakfast was good with fresh baked goods, meats, cheeses, etc. The woman also brought out a basket... More

I cannot fault the hotel, but if you love dogs you will be incredibly upset by the plight of the lovely dog that lives below this hotel. Confined to a small yard all day and in all weathers, I have seen the old women who live there hit the dog with a stick as it cowers. You do not want... More

We stayed four nights and our room balcony featured incredible views. The staff was anxious to please and the price was reasonable. The location is perfect for exploring the city. Be sure and ask about the escalators for getting around. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Lovely staff, incredible accommodations and location right next to the Duomo. Our room's view overlooked Umbria for miles and miles. I think our room actually used to be a balcony; it had a sitting area as well. Just lovely, and the staff was so helpful and kind in suggesting restaurants. Great location on top of the hill but not far... More

Located in a 15th century palace the Palazzo Dragoni is indeed an exceptional find. Centrally located in the old section of Spoleto and only about 100 yards from the cathedral. More than a little hard to find as there are no signs on the building with the name, just the street number. Lot's of narrow winding uphill streets but it... More

We had high expectations given other people's reviews, but they were surpassed when we got to stay there ourselves. We gasped audibly when shown the view our rooms had over the town (and all the way to Assisi). Roberto was exactly the right sort of host- always there to help but never pushing himself at you, always courteous and smiling,... More

The Palazzo Dragoni is our go to hotel in Spoleto. We love room #8 which has the poster bed. It is very large, has a sitting area, lovely bathroom, and a view that can't be beat. The breakfast room and it's view is amazing by itself...but the breakfast is better yet! Eggs any way you want them, homemade pastries, juices,... More
