A fantastic hotel with the owners really adding to the experience. The room was wonderful and the beds amazing. We slept so well. We were skiing for two days so had purposely booked the hotel for the hot tub and swimming pool which looked great in the photos. Unfortunately they are not part of the hotel and not only is... More

We spent in March a very nice vacation at this hotel. The atmosphere was very causy, the service excellent, the rooms very confortable spacious and clean. We used a suite and it was perfect for the family. There is a nice restaurant that has both half board or a la carte, very tastefull and different every night. The stuff was... More

We stayed in the Shackleton with 6 friends in January 2013. We very much loved this place. The rooms are fine (although the standard room lacks some storage space, the apartment on the other hand is very spacious). The design of the hotel is special. The food is very good, with a good selection of wine. Good price for the... More

My group (about 35 people) stayed elsewhere in Sestriere but had dinner in the Tower at the top of Shackleton. We were seriously impressed by the quality of the food and drink and the stunning panoramic view, which works even after dark as the pistes are floodlit. Davide and his team have real enthusiasm and flair for what they do... More

We rent a flat for 6 people on the hotel. Very warm welcome, and very nice people, it seems to feel at home, but the appartament was behind our expectaton. It was not really confortable. More like a big suite than a real appartement, without doors and with very small kitchen. Diner room too small to stay together to eat... More

Stayed here on a combined business, teambuilding and fun trip. Hotel is located in the centre of the village with a 10 minute walk to the slopes. Depending on the snow, you might have an almost ski-in option, but only with more snow a base level - not the case for us. Rooms are spacious with spartan funiture. Bathroom well... More

This is our second week long stay at this wonderful hotel and are happy to find it as good as ever. The Shackleton combines outstanding service with the hospitality and personal attention of a family run operation. Davide, his family and his staff make this a unique place and are great ambassadors for this beautiful part of the world. The... More

While touring the mountains we chanced on this charming little hotel with splendid architecture. Finding a good place to stay in a ski resort in summer is nigh to impossible - but we did. Davide is a great host and very knowledgable, offering great advice on what to do and see. The dinner was good, especially since it was end... More
