Having read the reviews for this hotel we were really looking forward to staying here. We decided to upgrade to a room with a view though this was EUR 175 per room. We came to the Cristallo by default as the Hotel we booked (Miramonti) was dropped by Neilsen about 5 monthe before the holiday. We chose the Cristallo for it's position more than anything and was more expensive but money very well spent, it was brilliant and the Miramonti was quite a distance in comparison. We stayed at the Cristallo after reading reviews of several hotels in sestriere on Tripadvisor; and are glad we did as they were quite acurate. The hotel is right across from the slopes for convenient skiing. The food is of fantastic quality and Italian rather than international. You are asked to order your evening meal at breakfast but can choose to wait if you prefer. Breakfast is buffet style continental and has something for most people.
