We have stayed in 2 * hotels that offer better service, food and a better standard of room than this, and it is supposed to be 4*. We had 3 days with no hot water, showering under a trickling luke warm tap after a full day on the slopes it is no joke. It was reported the first evening and... more

We stayed for a week at the Grand in late February - this was our second choice as the Du Col was sold out! This was also a very expensive second option and hugely disappointing. Our first impression was generally good, the reception and communual areas were clean and well decorated. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived so we... more

I spent 7 nights at Grand Hotel Sestriere and will NEVER stay there again! The food was dreadful both at breakfast and dinner, The dining facilities were more suitable to a works canteen than a hotel. Despite paying for half board we felt compelled to eat out every single night. Not an experience that I would like to repeat. The... more

I would definitely not recommend this hotel, the food was inedible and was like eating in a canteen rather than the restaurant of a 4* hotel, there is no point to their extensive wine list if there is no edible food to have it with. We had booked half board but had to eat out every evening. The rooms were... more

Just returned from a week at this hotel with Crystal Ski. Having read various poor reviews here The 7 of us in two families were really pleased with our week's holiday. The staff were great, everything clean, the communal areas fine, rooms larger than average. Before traveling we read some negative reviews, particularly about the food. Breakfast was everything you... more

Great start of the ski season ! A lot of snow and a beautiful location. The hotel is right in the center of the town, walking distance from the shops, the ski slopes and from the main entertainments. The hotel staff is very friendly and ready to help with any request. The restaurant " vineria del colle" is really remarkable... more

This is a poor hotel that needs repairing, refurbishing and rerating down - the staff do their best but the facilities are inadequate for the price. There is no wifi in the rooms and no cat five connection either. The public area is supposed to have wifi at E20 a day that didn't work with nobody qualified to assist. The... more

Hotel is fine, but maby not full 4-star, but which hotels at resorts are what they claim? Rooms tidy and clean. Nice view from big balcony, if you book a room faceing south. Friendly staff, most speaks English. Food is typical Italian cuisine and not the kind you get at your local italian restaurant, i.e. some dishes are very "special"... more

Some people go on a ski holiday just for the skiing, we go for a rounded holiday and book 4 or 5 star hotels with half board every year...for this we expect a high quality room, high quality bathrooms and very good cuisine. Unfortunately we had none of these and were forced to eat out 4 nights because the food... more

Ugly hotel in an ugly resort. On the plus side, we thought the bedrooms and bathrooms were fine, there was plenty of hot water and the maid service was quite efficient. But I am afraid that is where the praise stops. The dining room was large and very brightly lit. The breakfast was usual italian fare - yoghurts, eggs, plastic... more
