Thank you, dear Barbara and Marcello for your hospitality! We enjoyed our staying at your charming hotel! It's very easy to find if you've read the responses and if you ask the hotel by e-mail how to get there. Riva Trigoso is a suburb of Sestri Levante, but it's easy to get to the hotel by train (approximately once or... More

My daughter and I just spent 3 nights at the Locanda del Borgo. I had asked for a room with twin beds and got almost two rooms instead -- interconnected without a door, but two rooms nevertheless, on the top floor. The rooms and bathroom were large and modern with sufficient head room for us (though a person >180 cm... More

The hotel is small and simple with very helpful, friendly staff. I liked the building because of its thick walls and very high ceilings. The view out the window was beautiful with the sea in the far distance. We had the set dinner-menu twice, both times quite good, especially the tirami su.

We stayed here in early July 2012. At arrival (by car) we were given good information about how to visit Cinque Terre. I guess this is the main reason why people stay at this hotel. The hotel was easy to find when you arrive by car, and there were good parking facilities, although the exit from the property onto the... More

Our friends had stayed there last year and recommended it but the local train station, Riva Trigoso, and Italian trains can cause problems. We came by train from Aosta via Milan and, having been forewarned, caught a taxi from Sestri Levante for 13 Euro. This B&B was our first introduction to Italian B&Bs with their many stairs and the hassle... More

Great Italian little place with English speaking owner who can give tips on what to do, where to go. The location is perfect for exploring Cinque Terre. Rooms are big and clean

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Locanda del Borgo. The room was very large and spotlessly clean. Marcello welcomed us warmly and provided us with all the information that we needed for the area. Breakfast each day was excellent. We didn't have dinner in the dining room - but it looked lovely. We found Sestri Levante to be... More

It was a nice B&B place but we had difficulty getting there in the first place. It's close to a local train station (forgot the name), but not the major Sestri Levante stop. We got lost and thanks to the staff of a restaurant near the main train station, we managed to reach the B&B owner by phone and he... More

Thanks for your review Wendy, and I hope that you have a good trip to Venice! I use this occasion to clarify the train directions to us and to the Cinque Terre national park. Sestri Levante has two train station: the “central main” for the Express/Intercity trains and the “Riva Trigoso” station for the local trains on the Cinque Terre... More

Barbara and Marcello treated us like one of the family. They went above and beyond for us. Locanda del Borgo is located a short walk from the train station that takes you to the Chinque Terre, Santa Margherita Liqure and Portofino. A great location. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. So were the baths. The best part of the... More
