As you drive into the parking you know that this is going to be a special place to stay. The historic castle converted into a hotel is decorated with beautiful art and pieces from the area. Each room is decorated with unique pieces. There is a newer part of the hotel which I did not view but I would recommend... More

We came here for some cocktails one evening and were greatly disappointed. With such beautiful grounds, you would think they would have made more of an effort with the outdoor bar, but it was small, cramped and lacking of charm. Service was also poor, even though there was hardly anyone there at the bar or the restaurant. I hope this... More

We were 2 couples - the view is most beautiful but that's it! our special requests (in advance) were not taken care of, the restaurant / dining room are in another building without an air condition (there is an a/c but they don't put it on already few years!!!) - sitting places inside have beautiful view but not possible to... Set on a cliff overlooking Sestri Levanti, but with easy lift access to the town, it really is in a beautiful position. If you can, we'd suggest you avoid rooms in the newer annex which don't seem to enjoy the same views, can be a bit noisy (doors closing etc) and aren't expecially generous in size or fittings. However the... More

First of all, the building, the view from the restaurant and the privat beach are great. But: - We never stayed in a hotel of this category with such a bad mattress and walls where you can literally understand every word your neighbour speeks and you think the people in the room above you are performing a break dance. We... More

My wife and I spent a couple of nights at this hotel in July of 2013. I've read that the better rooms are in the old castle and I don't doubt it but we were in the newer addition. The room was well decorated and comfortable with good air conditioning which is not always the case in Italy. There was... More

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in July, 2013. The hotel is beautiful and our room was exactly as pictured on the hotel website. We booked directly through the hotel but got the same rate as we would have if booking through hotels.com or similar. So, no benefit in going direct to hotel except we were given... More

This hotel is in a wonderful position with extensive gardens/grounds. Our room was large and furnished with nice old furniture and the bathroom was also very spacious. The lift into town works wonderfully well giving you the option of taking full advantage of the delightful town of Sestri Levante. The restaurant was good - also with lovely views and we... More

I was apprehensive about the hotel after reading some of the reviews. I stayed here with my wife and two children and it had something to keep us all happy. The pool is a long walk but is well worth it and a wonderful setting, while the grounds of the hotel have brethtaking views over the bay. Breakfast was good... More

I am so surprised to read previous poor reviews. I loved this hotel. Yes, there is a nescafe machine at breakfast, which is particularly grim, but I just asked the waitress for proper espressos and she happily brought them to us. The staff were charming and helpful, as only the Italians seem to be able to achieve. Beach is fantastic... More
