I have been meaning to pen this note for sometime. We were 12 guys traveling from Canada for our annual ski trip. We had planned on being in Austria, but as a result of limited snow made a last minute change to Val Gardena. We have all traveled extensively on ski trips in the past. Hands down this was the... Of course not Carlo only, for sure his whole family and their good trained team make this hotel so enjoyable. But I believe that Carlos hard training and success in skiing in youth was a keystone for future success in business. Perfect personal service but never intrusive in conjunction with a refurbish house and a tasteful food made our stay... More

As other reviewers have said, the hotel is newly renovated and beautifully decorated in pine. The restaurant is very good. The indoor pool and spa area is excellent. There were a lot of people on duty for not many guests (at the beginning of September). The hotel is not in the center of town, but not isolated either; so it... More

We had such an awesome experience at the hotel and didn't want to leave. The place was newly renovated so everything was new and clean. The best part was the service. Everybody was very helpful and personable. The amenities provided were unbeilevable. You could use mountain bikes for free. They also provided some excursions and tours at no cost. Welcome... More

I stayed at Portillo Hotel for a week with 3 Irish friends, 2 of them never visited the Dolomites before. Once we arrived we were informed that we got an upgrade for our rooms, so we ended up 2 superior rooms that were absolutely stunning. Fantastic view from balcony, great design and incredibly clean. Staff have all been very welcoming... More

excellent location, easy handling car/bikes/luggage; first class food with everything available for ony a few guests; reasonable wine list with human prices; nice attitude of everybody beeing the staff or family (owners); very good, professional and charming service at meals by Lubizza - thank you, Will come again, Portillo Dolomites is at least on the level of neighbouring 5-star hotels.

Our stay at the hotel was blissful. The hotel is beautifully elegant while at the same time very comfortable. The staff was so very friendly and helpful. We brought our 3 year old and she loved the suite with her own bed as well as the wonderful indoor pool.

I have been to this Hotel twice and I absolutely love it! It was one of the best experiences in the Alps already 3 years ago but this time, as I saw it all new after the renovation - it was absolutely a paradise! The spa is the best one I have seen at the mountain hotel and the interior... More

The hotel Portillo Dolomites is definitely one of the best hotels I've visited. The service is excellent and the food is delicious. The hotel has been fully renovated and every detail in the hotel has been carefully thought over. The staff and the owner family makes the guests feel like at home. I can definitely recommend this hotel to everyone!

This was our second visit to Hotel Portillo and it was even better than last year. Bruno and Natalie were very welcoming and we were very impressed by all the refurbishment that they have done. The bar area is very comfortable, sadly it snowed too much to sit outside. The spa is more easily accessible now and the addition of... More
