Having booked and paid for a balcony room we were given a first floor room on arrival which was only changed after our protests. Reception staff could have been better. Not 4 star quality. Guests who were on half board were treated much better than us who had stayed on a B&B basis only. Rooms were serviced daily but tiles were cracked, paint was peeling from walls and carpet along the hallway must have been years old as there were lots of stains on it. We've just come back from The Majestic Palace. It must have been fantastic once but now shows signs of wear. Do not book this hotel expecting 4 star service or standard! This hotel would probably not even scrape a 3 star rating in the real world - Broken tiles and mildew in shower, grime around sink and toilet. Cobwebs and thick layers of dust in room.
