We booked the Caravel Hotel after reading reviews and we're not disappointed. The staff are friendly and helpful. We upgraded and as we like to sit on the balcony it was worth it. The free shuttle bus was ideal for getting into Sorrento centre. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast choice is excellent.

This was our second stay at Hotel Caravel and it certainly didn't disappoint. Situated in St Agnello, this hotel is perfectly placed for a gentle stroll into Sorrento (about 15 minutes by foot.) If you prefer, a shuttle bus runs regularly from the hotel into the town. As before, we were really impressed by the friendliness and efficiency of the... More

To celebrate our 20th Wedding anniversary in Sorrento, we chose the Hotel Caravel through Thomson holidays. I had previously checked on Tripadvisor, other customers reviews before booking ourselves. What a super hotel it is. Set in the pleasant and quiet residential area of Sant' Agnello. It is about 15/20 minute easy walk into the centre of Sorrento ( cosmopolitan feel... More

The food was very good with plenty of choice and very fulfilling. The swimming pool was very clean and relaxing surrounds. staff very friendly we had three teenagers enough sightseeing for all the family.... More

This was our first holiday in Italy, apart from a weekend in Rome some years ago, so with no previous experiences to go on, we took a while choosing a hotel. Fortunately we were very pleased with our choice. It was spotlessly clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was plentiful and there was never any problem finding... More

My husband a d I stayed here for a week in June. We,found the staff very friendly, especially the girls on reception. The food was quite good, the rooms on the small side but we got used to that, a lovely conservatory where we enjoyed a drink in the evening, all in all an enjoyable week at the caravel and... More

We booked the Caravel as part of a package, and we weren't sure if that might mean the hotel might be a bit of a 'production line' experience, but any fears were allayed immediately upon arrival. The hotel itself is attractive, with a generous outdoor lounge (used predominantly in the evening) a covered bar area and the hotel swimming pool... More

The hotel was wonderful and the staff were very friendly and professional. I would recommend the hotel to anyone and we will definitely consider staying again next year. As for travelling to Sorrento, you can either use the free courtesy bus which runs regularly or walk. We walked back a few times after 11:30pm and it took 15-20 mins and... More

Setting: The hotel is in St Agnelo, which is an urban area just outside of Sorrento. There isn't a great deal to do in St Agnelo, although there is a decent bar / restaurant at the end of the road, overlooking the sea. It is possible to walk into Sorrento in around 20 - 25 minutes although the pavements are... More
