This is more a business type hotel than a holiday type, but nevertheless is handy for touring the area, which has many interesting towns and villages. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the historical centre of San Sepolcro which has some nice bars and restaurants if you wish to eat out. The walk is along some streets... More

Two main criticisms, which severly detracted from what was otherwise a very good hotel: 1 air conditioning turned off at 10.00 p.m. so room was like a sauna at night. 2 room service (or any other, for that matter) not available until 6.30 p.m. so it is not possible to obtain any refreshments before this time.

We stayed for three days in May as part of a group. The rooms are spacious and well kept as are the bathrooms. The bed is large and very comfortable. The room was also quiet with a good view from the small balcony. The hotel is surrounded by quite large grounds but there is no pool and no outside seating... More

A grand hotel with some nice features, like the super kingsize bed, large bathroom and bedroom,a quiet room and nice views from a small balcony. We ate here for two nights, and the food was very good. There were the locals also dining here,so that speaks volumes. The breakfast was continental,so nothing marvellous about that. A few minor things like no English channels on TV,but it... More

I would agree with all the other reviewers. We also had a political rally taking place while we were staying. We stayed three nights at the end of a Travelsphere holiday. The breakfast was okay and we had one included evening meal. This was a three course set meal with choices. I had strips of steak for main which was pretty... More

The hotel was in a fairly good location, about 15 minutes walk from the town of Sansepolcro. The room was well appointed with a good view and was very comfortable. It did, however, need a bit of redecoration. The staff tried to be as helpful as possible, but appeared to be overrun by the number of guests. There was a political rally taking... When we had to move from Gabicce Marie and the lovely San Souci Hotel we were a bit sad as the San Souci was in a beautiful spot overlooking the sea and the hotel was very friendly. Our first impression of the Borgo Palace was that it was next to a football ground and out of town but as we... More

We were in Sansepolcro for a conference, held at an off-site location about 10 minutes from the hotel. Our room was large and comfortable, the bathroom likewise. But the hotel lacked personality and felt like any other corporate-run hotel in any large city in the U.S. The breakfast, included in the room rate, was ok, but the staff was quite... More

We found Borgo Palace hotel on our first visit to Sansepolcro. Luckily the hotel was not full and we had a first floor room with a small balcony. It was a beautiful room, the best we had on a travels of italy. The room was large and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was included and although a typical continental breakfast it... More

The rooms are very spacious and comfortable . We stayed here on tour with Page and Moy. We were booked in for one evening meal which was very poor and the service was at best surly and inefficient. My slices of meat served on cold plate waited at least another 10 minutes. For any veg to appear. Breakfast was no... More
