We have stayed at Hotel Morandi several times as it has wonderful views of the ocean and free parking. Please be informed that the hotel has recently changed ownership and there are plans to make major improvements to the rooms commencing winter 2014/15. At present the public areas are stylish but the rooms are old fashioned and a bit tired,... More

Well, I travel plenty and I usually don't leave comments, but I had such a TERRIBLE experience at this hotel, that I am compelled to leave my honest feedback. (1) Some rooms are *literally* stuck to the manager's office, so whenever he makes a phone call or has a conversation in his office, expect to hear every single word. (2)... More

We were attracted to the outside appearance and the name of the hotel. Inside it is another story: the hotel is filthy. They have not invested one euro for dozens of years except for the downstairs lounge which is meant to lure the clients in, I suppose, as you need to cross it once you have parked your car in... We just returned from a night at Hotel Morandi, and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. Going in, I knew the decor and furnishings would be outdated, the room would be a bit plain, and breakfast would be limited. That was fine, as we're used to that with most average hotels in Europe, especially non-chains. However, the... More

The Morandi is ideally located - close to both the beach and centre of town without being amongst all the noise and bustle. First of all there is the added bonus on arrival free parking in an enclosed garden .....in a city where parking space is at a premium. Superb public rooms and a smiling receptionist augured well. Then there... More

We loved this place! They hotel sends out this authentique athmosphere. The rooms are spacious and we had one overlooking the garden and the mediterenean. At breakfst we got instead of the 'machinecoffee' a nice Italian espresso! Loved this place!

We stayed at the Hotel Morandi out of season on a beautiful November day because we wanted to do some biking (There is a wonderful level 26 km bike path from San Remo east that parallels the coast.) and to explore San Remo. Many hotels are closed in San Remo off season and others seemed to be booked for conferences.... More

The Hotel Morandi still shows the old elegance on a by-gone era. I was terribly concerned as we approached on a very busy street into San Remo. But after finding the parking lot on the back-side of the hotel, it showed its old grandeur and elegance. The public rooms, which in the off season are empty and unused, would be... More

While my friend I were visiting the Riviera on the off-season and many hotels were closed up for the winter, the Hotel Morandi was open and provided us with excellent service. Our room was on the top floor, in the corner and had a gorgeous sweeping view of the Mediterranean. This historic hotel still maintains a great deal of its... More
