This hotel, as we were told by one of its guests, was THE hotel on the Riviera when it opened over 50 years ago but alas it is a little tired now. The Tapestry is a little faded, the marble slightly cracked, the plug in the sink just didn't quite fit but the overall effect is very pleasing. We enjoyed... more

My wife and I stayed here for two nights. The hotel beautifully captures Sanremo - faded glory. It has a great setting, near the centre of the town and by the sea. The building is one of those grand old Victorian buildings. It would look at home on the front in Cannes, France or Brighton, England. But it is painted... more

Booked the hotel via Neckermann for a 6 days stay. Hotel was just perfect for a relaxing holliday in an old italian riviera town. Surroundings just perfect, a bit noise because it is situated just at the riviera coast street. We had the feeling as if we where 40 years back, together with the upperclass. Service from the staff and... more

Old, musty, but our room was clean...and the staff was friendly, especially the night desk clerk. Nice antiques, lovely view from our frontside balcony...noisy, but no more so than hotels in large cities. Breakfast was adequate...dinners fair. Bottom-line - not high-end, overpriced...but an adequate hotel for 33% fewer Euros. more

Oh how I agree with your other reviewers - I should have looked at this web-site before I visited this hotel for the week of 7 September 2004. "Faded grandeur" is correct and this hotel should in no way be even considered as 4* - it may have been in 1935. The food was appalling (we had to eat out... more

This hotel was grand once, but that grandeur has now faded badly. Our room had a toilet which functioned intermittently. The food at breakfast was very poor, tasteless cheese, undrinkable coffee and very little choice. (Try the coffee shop in the park opposite for decent coffee and good service) Noisy at night time due to passing traffic. On the positive... more

Hotel Londra, though being a four star one, should be rated no more than a hostal, and even that would be generous. We had to clean by ourselves the bathroom, for it was in terrible state, the night receptionist was almost insultant, and the bar tenders ,though very kind and servicial (after the first good tips,of course) were most of the time in search of any young... more

Hotel Londra was the worsest hotel I have ever been. Our room was small with really disgusting old furnitures. There was a minibar in the room which was very dirty, perhaps never opened for ages. The bathtub was rusty. The toilet flusher button had to be pressed strongly, first I thought that it doesn't work. The air conditiong was so... more
