Stayed here for 3 nights in June. We chose a junior suite. From the check in to our check out we did not find much to complain about it. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming. On arrival in our room we found complimentary champagne and fruit bowl. The room was spacious, little balcony looking out at the sea, 2... More

I'm sure the regular upkeep of this "Grande Dame" of international hotels is enormous! I first visited the hotel back in the 60s with my parents, and nwo my granddaughter is the latest in the line! Back then, almost everybody ate in the magnificent dining room at lunch and dinner and it was a great ceremony. You'll certainly find old... More

We decided to include Royal in our anniversary trip just for a short 2 nights stay and we enjoyed every minute of it. The staff is great, always eager to help - at the restaurants, by the pool, at the front desk, housekeeping. I would like to specially mention charming Sig.ra Antonella Brutto, front office manager who was very attentive... More

My husband, me and our 5-year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at the Royal Sanremo Hotel. We selected this hotel based on the pool (for our daughter) and it most definitely did not disappoint. You do need to get to the pool area early if you'd like a chair near the pool but that's to be expected... More

After running from the hotel Europa as fast as our rental car would travel we found the Royal only a few hundred meters away. It might as well have been a million miles away. From the exquisitely tailored doormen to the grand reception rooms, we knew instantly we had entered a more rarified atmosphere. From that point on our one... More

“Ah”, said the travel agent when we were booking our seven day holiday at the Royal Hotel in San Remo, “there are no transfers from Genoa airport, we will have to book you a taxi which will add £700 to the cost of your holiday”. “Stuff that”, I thought, “Is there a train station in San Remo?”, I asked. “Yes”... Due to work i find myself quite often in Sanremo, and like to relax when possible and this is the perfect hotel to do so. Boasting 16000mq area with tennis courts, football pitches and even somewhere to roller skate (all hidden away) this hotel has a beautiful salt water pool over looking the sea (or a little beach on the... This hotel was a 5 stars (Italian 5 stars) back in sixties and seventies for sure but no longer in 2014. It really needs a huge makeover. A lot of rooms have been refurbished (Penthouses 5th floor for the most part) but we were on the 4th floor and unfortunately ours wasn't. That being said, we still had a great... More

Terrible experience. Hotel service and most of the people were with an arrogant atitude. To print out my traveling ticket for my flight i had to wait a lot of time, they didn't help me as they should have to they just sent me in a room where internet wasn't working correctly. Hotel it self was very old and not... More

San Remo is quiet in May, but beautiful weather, great service in a top hotel made this break unforgettable! Especially enjoyed the gym and spa. Staff were friendly, nice atmosphere in the bar area. A lovely, old fashioned, yet up-market establishment. Definitely one for a long weekend escape!
