I absolutely loved this hotel. It is one of the nicest I have ever stayed in and if I ever come back to this area, I would definitely stay here again. A beautiful building in such a peaceful location, and with the map provided by the hotel, and the good signs around the town, it was easy to find. The... More

A wonderful old monastery in the old town of Saluzzo. The rooms are very tastefully renovated and decorated and the ambience is magical. Staff is extremely kind and helpful and the lovely hotel manager is always present and approachable. Food and wine was absolutely amazing and we can't wait to visit again. A lot of people mentioned that the hotel... More

Having been to the area numerous times in the past 5 years and tried different hotels in Alba, Cherasco, Bra, Cuneo and Savigliano I can without a doubt say, that the San Giovanni Resort is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in!! A former convent/ monastery has been converted into a beautiful hotel with ca. a dozen... More

A big thank you to all the staff at the San Giovanni hotel for looking after us so well. This is not the easiest place to find and I think that a SatNav is a must but once you arrive then you realise how special it is. A beautiful building which has been tastefully and sympathetically converted from a Monastery... More

We like to stay in the old renovated buildings with a touch of history. This one was exactly we like. Even to get there by the car in old narrow streets full of turns was impressive. We had a nice room with large bathroom and jacuzzi. Everything was nice, clean, comfortable and 100% working. The main attraction of the room... More

I was arriving in Hotel San Giovanni after a long drive from Chambery, crossing Tunnel du Frejus and the Alps in pouring rain but luckily on empty roads – it was May 1, 2012. I have never been to Saluzzo before and the sight of it emerging from the rainy fog was fascinating. It was not easy to get to... More

We were very impressed with this hotel. The hotel has been restored from a monastery and in fact is still attached to the church through a door from the cloistered courtyard. The hotel is sited high in the old town quarter and has all of the charm that you would like to see in an old property. Inside the rooms... More

San Giovanni is a wonderful hotel. Luxurious yet understated. The rooms have been renovated very tastefully. View from the terrace is difficult to put into words - so stunning and atmospheric. We loved it.

From the location, the setting, the architecture, to the way the hotel is kept, the staff..all was very nice. This hotel provides understated luxury in a renovated monastery with a beautifull church attached to it. The location is perfect for a couple days in Saluzzo. The room-terasse beneath the campanile and overlooking the courtyard is awesome. The bathroom was particularly cool,... More
