I have been in this hotel on a business trip to Parma, since all the hotels were full in Parma due to a large convention / exhibition ... Salsomaggiore Terme is a charming old-fashioned spa town, its center filled by a gorgeous Thermal bath building, park and garden. If you are in Parma or need to drive in that direction, it makes a lovely stop for a night or two. Hotel Excelsior was a terrific value and provided a large, lovely and well-located room if in a building... more
