We would stay 1 day in Italy to catch another plane and we didn't want to stay in Milan. We saw the prices around and decided to go to Salsomaggiori. It was the best choice. It is not that close to Milan, but it worth it. The hotel is in a good shape, it is not a new hotel, but... More

We thought there must be a zero missing from the tariff, the price was so good. This place is a great little find if you are interested in exploring the region of Italy's most famous ham and cheese, without being in the centre of the city of Parma. Salsomaggiore itself is a little jewel with a magnificent spa bath...the building... More

We booked at this hotel twice in about 2 weeks. 1 night each time and we have nothing to complain. Everything was just great. Nice old hotel situated right in the center of the town, good price and facilities, friendly hotel stuff and nice room view over the center. Very nice clean rooms with mini-fridge and AC with an old... More

Booked for friends as a stop off on a driving holiday to Tuscany. Chosen for the location and amazing room rate. Because of the price, we had low expectations (which wasn't a problem as we were only stopping for one night), but were blown away by the building, location, rooms, staff, breakfast..... everything really! If you haven't had cake for... More

The Grand Hotel Regina is a great place to give you the feel as it was in the old days. Centrally located we spend two nights there at very reasonable cost. Perfect to get to know Salsomaggiore which was great to find as a art-deco treasure. Big bathrooms, nice rooms. Possibility to dine in the hotel dining room. You will... More

A totally charming hotel, staffed by totally charming people who couldn't do enough to help. THe breakfast spread is without doubt the best I have ever experienced and delicious. Our room, over looking the piazza, was large, spotless and equipped with air con. As an added bonus the rooms are so reasonably priced as to be almost unbelievable.

beautiful hotel, friendly staff, in the middle of old town, near everything, very quiet, breakfast extraordinary. A must if you are around, few minutes from Parma. 50 meters from the termes. We were 2 couples and everybody enjoy. We would go back for a week without problems

This is a lovely hotel and nicely located in the town square, beautiful smaller town! Staff is excellent and rooms are very clean, larger then you would expect from an older hotel, many rooms with balconies. If possible get a room facing the square, you will not be disappointed.

We traveled as a family and were not expecting the grandeur for the unbelievable price! Rooms were beautiful, clean and very comfortable. One review said its hard to find, and we wondered how you could hide such a big hotel. Once we got there we saw that its behind buildings in a piazza for pedestrians. Once you get to the... More

The Grand Hotel Regina is perhaps one of the best values I have had in Italy. At 59-66 Euros a night with AC and one of the largest breakfast buffets of sweets, cakes and fruits I have seen, it’s a wonderful place to stay. The hotel can be hard to find as it’s front façade is in the middle of... More
