The worst thing about the whole holiday was at the very start. We were joined on our flight from London to Turin by a large group of English students, they were rude and rowdy. Unfortunately they were staying in the same resort as us so they were also on our transfer bus. Thankfully they were in a different hotel. Many... more

Stayed here for a week at the end of March/start of April. Bedroom was small and dated but clean with a reasonably sized bathroom and balcony. It is a heavy walk if your in ski boots carrying skis up a steep hill to the Clotes lift or you can get the ski bus to Sportina, however the bus seems to... more

I loved this place, this was my first time snowboarding so I had nothing to compare to, but what a little treat. The hotel is a little rough around the edges but is full of character and charm. It's warm and cosy and the staff are lovely and attentive. We booked last minute so were up in the loft, this... more

15 of us booked this trip 10 months earlier ang gotan absolute bargain through Crystal, even better with the state of the Euro at the moment. As we didnt pay a lot we didnt have high expectations. On arrival very impressed with hotel, however after first night some issues, food adequate but far from good. The beds were rock hard... more

I have just returned from a skiing holiday staying at this hotel. The rooms were very spacious as we had a triple room but there 4 beds and a bath with shower. The shower and bath were plus points after a days skiing. It is more intimate, family run hotel. The owner Paulo is a former Olympic Skier. Lovely man.... more

The Gran Baita is a lovely, very friendly and cosy hotel. Having been to italy before and seeing pictures, we were expecting a quite dated hotel... instead we were pleasantly suprised. It is extremely cosy, clean and very traditional. Staff in the resturant were very helpful and friendly, the owner man seemed slightly grumpy most of the time but he... more

Just returned from a fantastic weeks skiing in Sauze D'Oulx. Booked with Thomson and stayed at the Gran Baita. The flight was great only 1hour 50mins. The arrival at Turin was a bit chaotic- very busy and had to wait over an hour for our luggage. The italians are very laid back- they probably had a break for lunch! The... more

I have just returnned from the most fantastic holiday. This hotel is excellent. The staff are really friendly, the rooms clean & tidy and the food is the best hotel/half board food I have ever had. There were 4 in our group & we were certainly well cared for. Breakfast is cold buffet but with some nice touches and evening... more

Just come back from the Hotel and thought it was excellent. The location was great, just 100 metres off the main square (Where the bus stop is). It is also within easy walking distance when coming back from the Clotes Lift - beware though that complete beginners will not be able to use this lift, but will have to take... more

The Gran Baita was well worth the money. Clean, functional, pleasant rooms. Nice bar with a good atmosphere. Finally, a good range of food available at breakfast and evening meals, which were even enjoyed by the picky vegetarian in our group. more
