The hotel was situated in a nice location. Riva Del Garda is very pleasant, although the hotel is a 20-minute walk from the centre. Nonetheless, the surrounding area is very nice and the walk is very pleasant to and from the centre. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and I couldn't fault them; excellent here. The waiters and bar-staff... More

This hotel is at the heart of riva and a short walk to access ferries to other lake garda resorts. Although the room on floor two was smaller than we expected, it was imaculately clean and had everything we needed. shower was fab and views fantastic of mountains.Dissapointed that nobody acknowledged we were on honeymoon, but our request for a... Spent an enjoyable three nights at this recently renovated hotel popular for package tours from the United Kingdom. Our room was attractive and comfortable with the addition of a small balcony facing the valley and mountains. We chose half board option which provided a buffet breakfast and evening three course meal with choices in each course. The meals were of... More

We booked this hotel after reading the reviews but it wasn't as nice as I thought it would be. The hotel was a huge tower (like the hotels around it) and was a twenty minute walk from Riva. The double bed consisted of two twin beds pushed together with a huge crevasse down the middle! It was covered with a... More

This hotel was our final stop on our tour of the Italian Lakes - it was relaxing and friendly. Afternoon tea was an unexpected bonus. Nice room with a large balcony with sunbeds - but not all rooms had these! Pool was cold!! Used by coach holidays but that did not spoil it for us, except we had to sit... More

We keep coming back to Riva as we love this resort. The scenery is stunning and the lakeside well -kept and clean. We got a bit of a deal on this Thomsons holiday, booking about a month before we travelled. We have stayed at the sister hotel of the Garda, the Savoy Palace, a couple of times but preferred the... Typical italian family run hotel. Nice pool area, althought often crowded and hard to find any sunbeds unless you come after the breakfast. Located in the hotel area, 20 min. walk to center (no public transport). Magnificent mountain view from rooms. Small parking place, if you are coming with your own car also roads are quite crowded (specially at summertimes).... More

On arrival ar reception we were greeted with a friendly face who gave us a key to a room on the 3rd floor,we were quite relieved as we had read a previous review that said refuse rooms on the 5th floor [we later found this to be true] There was no porter and we had to find our own way... More

This was our second stay at the Hotel Garda. We last stayed at the hotel in late July 2009. We have never before returned to an overseas holiday location, usually preferring to keep exploring other options. This in itself reflects how we feel about Riva del Garda in general and specifically the Hotel Garda. I said in my previous review... More
