We've just returned from a week at this hotel, booked through Travelsphere. We weren't sure what to expect of a 3 star hotel in Italy but Hotel Benacus really was lovely, immaculately clean throughout and with the most wonderful views of Riva and Lake Garda. We paid a little extra for a lake view and it really was a joy... More

Stayed with a friend as part of a Travelsphere group. It was dark when we arrived and we were greeted warmly by the English speaking manager, Marco. What a brilliant surprise when we stepped out onto the balcony the following morning( we had a room in the roof). The view of the lake and mountains was unbelievably beautiful. Breakfast is... More

Staff really good. Food tasty, but lacking in veg, but good salad chose. Paid for balconey and view, which was lovely. Down point bathroom was a cupboard in our room. Town was down the hill, not so bad after you had done the walk up and down a couple of times. Not a good choice if not fit. Shuttle bus... More

Recently returned from a Travelsphere holiday to Hotel Benacus. The hotel has incredible views over Riva, the food and staff were also both excellent. Because of the excellent weather we were able to dine on the veranda everynight and this made the evening meal particularly special. Our room was clean with air conditioning and when we returned from our day... More

Pros: Excellent pool, great sun loungers, incredible view, friendly staff. Cons: Noisy rooms - you can hear every door slam. Location is only useful if you are OK with being taxi/car/cycle distance from lake and town. You can certainly walk down the hill to the lake but it would be a hike up the hill. Overall really enjoyed the hotel... More

Recently got back from Travelsphere holiday to Hotel Benacus. We paid half board, and ended up eating out 5 nights out of 7!!, because the quality of the food was so poor. On arrival our welcome to Lake Garda/ Hotel, our meal consisted of 2 potato croquettes, a chicken leg and 5 BRUSSEL SPROUTS!!!!! Need I say more, thinking it... More

We thoroughly enjoyed every part of our stay at Hotel Benacus with Travelsphere in the first week of July. To celebrate our Ruby Wedding we had a table for 2 and an awesome apartment with views to Mt Brione which we really enjoyed. Breakfast buffet included a great array of fresh fruit, yoghurts, breads and croissants as well as cereals,... More

The hotel was on a steep incline but the views were spectacular over the lake.Visiting other parts of the lake was very easy by boat. The staff were very friendly and polite and went out of their way to assist. The food in the resturant was of a very high standard and the resturant staff were very pleasent.Being on a incline... More

We arrived at the Benacus with a Travelsphere group on the 22nd June 2011 to visit the Opera Festival which was wonderful. Because we were with a group we were not offered the a la carte menu, and we thought the selection we were given was poor, too much pork, larded Pork one evening and Pork escalope on three other... IN reference to yopur comments on our hotel I would like to point the following: all groups at the Benacus have the same service as privete guests who book halfboard That is a choice of 5 starters and 4 maincorse dishes. It goes without saying that a choice of menu as such offers alot more than pork dishes. The a... More

We were part of a largish Travelsphere group visiting mainly for the Opera in Verona, (which was just wonderful). It was very nice to be away from the main area of Lake Garda, and not difficult to travel around. The food in the hotel was very good, especailly the evening meal. Moro the head waiter (there were only 3 staff)... More

As this comment refers to me personally I would like to state my point of view. As manager I personally choose and organize the staff and I am very plased that my guests are very satirfied with the service they are given. Many clients infact comment that they recieive a 4 star hotel service in a 3 sta hotel. We... More
